I wish I had read the other reviews before I purchased this audiobook, it would have saved me from wasting a credit. The reader that takes over for Todd Mclaren in this Takeshi Kovacs novel, William Dufris, seems to believe the best thing you can do for a noir detective story is deliver it in a John Wayne-style. The reverb that they choose to use at places in the story is distracting and amature-ish, and the pronunciation of the protagonist's name is different. After listening to 20 minutes of this audiobook I've given up on the audiobook and will purchase a hard copy.
