Dani "Mega" O’Malley plays by her own set of rules - and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the few humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

    Story

I am an adult. I do not want to read about a 14 year old heroine being lusted after by adult men. 14 year old children are annoying. They are Junior high children and it is their job to be annoying. I have a 14 year old and she still watches Saturday morning cartoons and sleeps with her stuffed animals.

In the Fever series, I skipped over the Dani solo scenes as she was mostly annoying and I was not interested in this 14 year old in my adult romance. However, I wanted to give KMM a chance to make this right so I read the ICED book. I love KMM and and I love the Fever series but ICED is not adult romance entertainment. It is adults entertaining the idea and desire to have sex with a child. In my opinion, pedophilic behavior is not entertainment.

Ryodan and Christian both lust after Dani throughout the entire book. ICK

KMM should have made this a YA book and tossed out the pedophilia behaviors. I could have enjoyed reading a YA story from the perspective of Dani and Dancer and the other teens.

    OR just made Dani 18.

One (1) star for pedophilic behavior.
Three (3) stars for the ICED story. I would have given this story a 5 but again, the pedophilic behavior interfered to much with the story. I could not enjoy the story for fear of what was/would happening to Dani.

On a side note: Five (5) stars for KMM's FEVER series. I loved Mac's story

    ***Spoiler Alert***

Dani, an unconscious 14 year old has both Ryodan and Christian lusting after her while she is laying there, dead to the world. The child is 14 years old. Although nobody has had sex with Dani, adult men lust after the child several times through out this book.

Dani, abused by her mother as a young child, was kept locked up in a cage. Dani, as a Junior high child, is further abused by Ryo and locked up in chains as punishment. He was physically abusive to her as well.

Dani accidentally grabs Ryos *ick in the book.

Ryo has a boner when looking at Dani in her underwear.

Ryo has to go get some relief with Jo after seeing Dani in her bra and panties. (This is in some debate.)

Dani accidentally witnessed sex between adults and has stirrings.

Thankfully nobody has sex with Dani in this book but adult men lusting after her is not entertainment. If KMM is planning on Dani hooking up with Dancer (a boy her age) then she does not do justice to any of us by making us think Dani is going to become the child lover of either Ryo or Christian.

When Lola Franklin decided to study abroad she never anticipated embarking on a whirlwind weekend romance with a hot guy before classes started. And she certainly never counted on the hot guy being her new professor. Or a Prince. Or the biggest asshole she had ever met. Xavier Van Romerius is the playboy Prince of Europe and he loves his life. He doesn't do relationships, and never wants to get married.

    Story

The narrator has a pleasant relaxing voice that never changes for any reason. Her pleasant whispering voice will send you off on a nice relaxing nap. She whispers everything, even the dramatic moments and there is no difference between her male and female voices. I may have enjoyed the story somewhat more if the narrator was not so boring.

This book was purchased at reduced rate so I decided to give it a try. I found out that there are two more sequels at about 3 hours long for $11.00. I won't be buying them at that pricey tag.

Prince Charming is such a jack ass I can't imagine any woman with even the smallest amount of self esteem wanting to kiss him. He accuses her of being a prostitute and calling her a Bimbo (several times) he then orders her to kiss him as he further insults her and all the while she is thinking how attracted to him she is. (This scene all happened with the soft relaxing whisper voice of the narrator.)

    "So you like art?"
    "Yeah I like art."
"I have not met many girls who like art. Are you sure you were not there to find a rich husband?"

I was done with this ridiculous couple after that scene and deleted the audible.

    Story

Cute romance with lots of hot sex.

I expected a strong, dominating, alpha male, "mafiya" boss but other than the story stating this guy was "mafiya", nothing about him led me to believe this was true. He reminds me of a poor little rich boy who is wealthy and went after what he wanted but Cat seemed more alpha than he did. The female character had strength and depth but Maksimilian never attracted me more than as an accessory to her.

I am halfway through the book and wishing it was the story I thought I had bought.

I have no idea why she auctioned off her virginity for a cool mill. Regardless, I'm now the proud new owner of a perfectly intact hymen. A lot of good that will do me. I have certain tastes, certain sexual proclivities. My cock is a bit more discriminatory than most. And training a virgin takes finesse and patience - both of which I lack. Sophie Evans has been backed into a corner.

I enjoyed the story and it was an entertaining read at the reduced rate. I recommend this audible book at sale prices but not at full price.

Narrator had a cute voice and was good with the main character's voice but fell short at the male voices and supporting cast. Half the time I thought I was listening to Sophie speak and realized it was Drake or another character.

    Story

Story:This book was listed as erotic and dark romance. There is no romance and all rape.

I like erotic romance and BDSM. I even like books where the dom kidnaps his love. I do not like all rape, physical violence and hostage situation all for revenge.

He beats her up, physically strikes her face and body, holds her hostage and rapes her repeatedly for revenge. I stopped reading this book pretty fast once I realized there was not one part of this man who cared for this girl and his only purpose was to hurt, abuse and make her pay.

I saw the high star ratings and bought it based on that. I should have looked at the one star ratings and stayed away.

Performance: Narrator has a very mature even elderly voice. Not something I expect to hear from a young or even middle aged girl. Maybe if she were reading a children's novel then I could pretend it was grandma reading.

I love this story and the voice actress has an awesome female voice but her Vlad voice makes me cringe. I keep waiting for Vlad to start counting and then laughing with thunder and lightening.

I strongly recommend reading the story (from the first book) but listen to a sample of her Vlad voice before buying the audible.

    Story

I love this series and the previous voice actors were exciting and entertaining and made me sit on the edge of my seat waiting to hear what was happening next. Although I did enjoy this story it was very slow and then combined with the narrators voice I found my mind wondering and myself getting very sleepy.

The narrator has a very pleasant sleepy voice and she spends the whole book assisting you to get a really good nights sleep. Even the hot steamy parts are read in a sleepy relaxing voice and I can't tell the difference between which characters are speaking because they all sound the same. She will every now and then attempt a not so authentic Scottish accent but it is not consistent.

The previous audible books were awesome but fans of this series should probably read the text version of this story and skip the audible unless you go into it with no expectations of fantastic voice acting.

Fast paced, witty, exciting, hAwt and steamy (yet very tastefull) romance and that is just to start. The characters have depth and their relationships develop in a manner that leaves you sitting on the edge to see what happens next. I have listened to all five of these books on audiable and I have bought the kindle versions so I can enjoy it again. I would love to see this series go on and on and I would also be first in line for the movie.

Both of the narrorators made the characters come alive and enriched the story for me. I really enjoyed the switch between points of view.
