Dani "Mega" O’Malley plays by her own set of rules - and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the few humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

    Story

I am an adult. I do not want to read about a 14 year old heroine being lusted after by adult men. 14 year old children are annoying. They are Junior high children and it is their job to be annoying. I have a 14 year old and she still watches Saturday morning cartoons and sleeps with her stuffed animals.

In the Fever series, I skipped over the Dani solo scenes as she was mostly annoying and I was not interested in this 14 year old in my adult romance. However, I wanted to give KMM a chance to make this right so I read the ICED book. I love KMM and and I love the Fever series but ICED is not adult romance entertainment. It is adults entertaining the idea and desire to have sex with a child. In my opinion, pedophilic behavior is not entertainment.

Ryodan and Christian both lust after Dani throughout the entire book. ICK

KMM should have made this a YA book and tossed out the pedophilia behaviors. I could have enjoyed reading a YA story from the perspective of Dani and Dancer and the other teens.

    OR just made Dani 18.

One (1) star for pedophilic behavior.
Three (3) stars for the ICED story. I would have given this story a 5 but again, the pedophilic behavior interfered to much with the story. I could not enjoy the story for fear of what was/would happening to Dani.

On a side note: Five (5) stars for KMM's FEVER series. I loved Mac's story

    ***Spoiler Alert***

Dani, an unconscious 14 year old has both Ryodan and Christian lusting after her while she is laying there, dead to the world. The child is 14 years old. Although nobody has had sex with Dani, adult men lust after the child several times through out this book.

Dani, abused by her mother as a young child, was kept locked up in a cage. Dani, as a Junior high child, is further abused by Ryo and locked up in chains as punishment. He was physically abusive to her as well.

Dani accidentally grabs Ryos *ick in the book.

Ryo has a boner when looking at Dani in her underwear.

Ryo has to go get some relief with Jo after seeing Dani in her bra and panties. (This is in some debate.)

Dani accidentally witnessed sex between adults and has stirrings.

Thankfully nobody has sex with Dani in this book but adult men lusting after her is not entertainment. If KMM is planning on Dani hooking up with Dancer (a boy her age) then she does not do justice to any of us by making us think Dani is going to become the child lover of either Ryo or Christian.

I have read all three books and found after reading each one I could not wait for the next. I even feel like there should be a 4th book just to satisfy my addiction to every character in this book.

The narrator met all my expectations and she made each character come alive with their own voices and personality.

This is a very entertaining Beauty and the Beast Story but I am sooo distracted by the low recording quality as it sounds like it is read through a can. Ms. Gilbert also has a very mature voice that does not fit a young lady of 19.

I am a fan of Kresley's Immortal After Dark Series and I LOVE The Arcana Chronicles so I very much recommend this author.

The Professional is an entertaining story but very short. At about 4 hours long it feels more like a serial that ends in the middle of a chapter instead of a series with a cliff hanger. If you add up all the parts you will end up with one book that reminds me of a monthly Harlequin/Silhouette romance.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

This is not another Hunger Games but if you liked Hunger Games you will like this one.

I really enjoyed the first two books in the series but quickly decided to forgo reading the final book when I learned of the ending. Many people recommend reading the first two and stopping there to create your own happy ending. After reading the spoilers, I am taking their advice and stopping here.

The author says she struggled with whether or not to write the ending as she did and honestly, I think she made the wrong choice. I think she wanted to prove something but missed her mark and instead she alienated readers. I really enjoyed the first two books but you need to research the ending to see if you want to invest in the entire series.

I will not be watching the movie.

Since she’d been on the outside, she’d survived an Aether storm, she’d had a knife held to her throat, and she’d seen men murdered. This was worse. Exiled from her home, the enclosed city of Reverie, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland - known as The Death Shop - are slim. If the cannibals don’t get her, the violent, electrified energy storms will. She’s been taught that the very air she breathes can kill her. Then Aria meets an Outsider named Perry. He’s wild - a savage - and her only hope of staying alive.

I was constantly feeling like I was listening to the story as narrated by one of the Saturday morning cartoon Ninja Turtle voices. I can't honestly rate the story because I had to stop listening. This may have been an awesome story but the narrator killed it for me. The narrator sounded like a tween boy or an old woman trying to sound like a tween boy.
