"Makes me want to go see the movie!"
Probably. It was short, so good for listening to on a trip.
Watership Down. don't really know why, it just reminded me of it. Especially, when they had to move out to the field.
the boy
I got really upset when the mean old cook tore up the floor boards & destroyed their home. I was also really sad that the boy never knew that they made it OK.
I'm finding all these copyrights for 2003 by Mary Norton, yet my 5th grade teacher read this story to us in 1965. Must be a re-up, huh?
"Almost as good as Coast to Coast AM."
Very enjoyable. I especially like the fact that George Noory read it himself.
This book touches on how far reaching the power of the mind really is.
"Loved It!!"
Especially liked the Paranormal Angle to the story. Story is well written & fast paced.
"Exquisit!"
Minute by minute of Miss Pettigrew's day. I like how the chapters were broken up into minutes, like "11:41 AM to 12:15 PM". The story is carried mostly by dialog with minimal description, but it's there enough so the listener/reader can "see" the surroundings. I was enthralled. Frances McDormand does the different Voices very well. I totally enjoyed this book. Will probably listen to it again & definitely recommend it!
"WONDERFUL STORY!"
One of the best stories ever! Heartwarming. Uplifting. I recommend it to all my friends & everyone else too.
"Well Written"
I liked it when Quintin got into Brinkbills & most all of his school. The story is well written & fast moving with more twists & turns than a mountain switch back. But I must admit that I got really depressed listening to it. Won't listen to it again....
"Well Written"
The story is well written & fast moving with more twists & turns than a mountain switch back. But I must admit that I got really depressed listening to it. So many very sad & disappointing episodes & sad ending, I won't listen to it again....
"HOT STUFF Incubus!"
only 3 words?
Hot Stuff, Incubus.
The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss
she has a nice voice to listen to & she did all the different characters very well
Hot Stuff, Incubus.
The High Adventures of The Grim Reaper.
I liked the way it was written in the first-person, with lots of little rabbit-trail-side-thoughts
--- just the way I think too, sometimes. Very humorous.
"Fun Fantasy"
It was a fun listen. Also interesting enough that I would like to pursue the series
the description of how a Dwarf tunnels through the earth.
I liked Nathaniel Parker's voice and inflections. I don't get the inflections when I'm reading words.
when Holly healed Butler
"Just love those Dragon Riders of Pern!"
Exciting! Epic! Breath-Taking!
When Jaxom on Ruth took his
I'm always partial to Jaxom and Ruth.
I preferred Dick Hill's narration The White Dragon & The Skies of Pern more than Mel Foster's narration of All the Weyers of Pern. Dick has a better Character Voices & a better Character Voice Memory. But a good narration just the same.
I laughed and cried. Even though I've read the story 3 times before.
Anne McCaffrey writes such Epic Novels!
Well worth the listen. I'll listen many more times. I already have all the book & I'm working on getting every Audible Pern book available.
