"Very good. Enjoyed listening."
Yes, I love the story and it was done well.
Eliza, as a mother I had such deep feelings for her plight.
I often skim over parts when reading, but catch all of the story when listening.
An American Atrocity.
Occasionally, when the reader's voice was low, I had a little trouble hearing, and had to turn the volume up, but overall, it was very good.
"Gone With The Wind is a great story."
Probably 3rd.
Scarlet's mother. She had good values and had attempted to teach them to her daughter.
I was often angry at Scarlet for her selfishness and self-centeredness. Especially when her son meant nothing to her.
"Great, intense book"
1st
Abraham Lincoln. He was such a great man with so much integrity.
Too long for that, but I couldn't wait to get to the end.
It was such a contrast of good versus evil, in a real setting. Even though I knew Lincoln would be killed, the way it was written in story form and with so many details, I kept hoping history could have changed. It had me crying. I enjoyed learned so much of history that isn't known.
"Excellent listening."
Probably 3rd, this includes books on my I-Pod, also.
The ending, because the book is so different from the John Wayne movie at the end. I haven't seen the new version.
Precious little Mattie!
The Courage of a Young Woman.
The end is much more violent than the John Wayne movie, so was hard for me to listen to, partly because growing up on a ranch where we have rattlesnakes, I have such a fear of them. The book was well done, though.
