She was aweful! It was "story time" for most of the book. Her voice didn't match the feel of Anita Blake. She sounded powerless and insecure when portraying Blake. The story seemed to end abrutly. It gave me a better peak at who Micah was and where he was coming from but it seemed like there should have been a lot more meat to the book.
Yes. I'm a big time fan of LKH and the Anita Blake series. I love her work and enjoy learning about how Anita and Jean Claude first began but I think the very end of the book could have had more meat to it. I would have like to know what happened to JC right after...well you know, the heart thing and before the hospital. She could have elaborated a little more instead of jumping to the next scene.
Kimberly Alexis is an amazing narrator! I wish she would have done them all instead of switching to some other narrators. They just didn't have the feel of Anita and she rocks at JC's accent!
Truely the first 5 min is very funny. I found myself chuckling and hoping that his book was going to go somewhere really funny. NO. If you listen to the first two minutes it sets the same format and tone for the entire book. Its someone reading a list of what white people do, thats it.
