I enjoyed this book and the narrator. The British humor was a nice change of pace.
with different narration. I just couldn't get into the story because the main narrator's voice and pronunciation were annoying. I didn't listen past the second chapter.
Different voice, better pronunciation, inflection
I wasn't able to get far enough into the story to know.
the delivery was so boring that I still haven't been able to get through the entire book.
A first hand account of the inner workings of the Hotel industry. It's funny, informative, and a little scary if you spend any time in hotels.
but I was really disappointed by the ending. The story was smartly written, with several shocking twists but it REALLY needs a sequel to fix the ending. :- }
I really liked the brief glimpse into Betty Whites life. She seems like a great person, who happens to be a good actress. I think Betty is someone who positively impacts the lives of everyone she meets. The book had a few "repeated sentences' that would have been better omitted but the book was very enjoyable.
Honestly, I enjoyed the book...all three of them. Of course, I wasn't expecting it rival Pride and Prejudice or War & Peace. It is a guilty pleasure for the ladies!! It has romance, a complicated relationship, BDSM and a flawed main character.
The narrator's voice didn't bother me. It never even crossed my mind until I saw the negative reviews. Ana’s repeated use of "oh my" and “inner Goddess” did not annoy me. Everyone has their “catch phrases” that they use in excess. These are hers.
My advice, if you're easily offended don't read this book. If you're looking for a beautifully written novel that will inspire you to greatness this isn't it. But if you're looking for a story of romance with a twist these books might be for you.
If you are dealing with this personality type in your life I believe this information can help you understanding some of the confusion & frustration you're undoubtedly feeling. The author begins by discussing different "schemas" (an organized pattern of thought or behavior), then describes several techniques for more effective communication.
Although I definitely think the narration should have been better, the information, at least for me, was valuable.
The stories seemed to jump all over the place...just little snippets of writing. Not a feel good book.
A fascinating look into Google, done in an honest and fair way. I don't "talk tech" so there were things that I didn't exactly understand but that never took away from the story. It's easy to see why Google is so popular!
Wow, not at all what I expected! She is quite a character, not the southern bell angel you might think. I loved it!!! I laughed out loud several times. Paul's story is inspiring; she has panache and an unyielding work ethic.
