The Lonesome Gods is Louis L'Amour's biggest and most important historical novel to date, a sweeping adventure of the California frontier. Here is the fascinating story of Johannes Verne, a young man left to die by his vengeful grandfather, rescued by outlaws and raised in part by the Indians of the desert.

To Long To Boring. The best part of the book and the only reason I stayed with it was David Strathairn very good narrator. Played the different parts well. Oh Yes stupid ending. left ya wondering if you missed something but by the time you got to the end....who cared.

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

D says: "The sequel to the book; not the movie"

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Yes, yes, yes!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Dr. Sleep

Have you listened to any of Will Patton’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes...stay's true to his ability to play each character beyond the call of reading.

If you could rename Doctor Sleep, what would you call it?

    perfect Dr. sleep

    Any additional comments?

Mr. King did very well with Dr. Sleep. You don't want to but this one down or fall asleep listening.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

What did you like about this audiobook?

NOTHING ... 30 hours of my TIME being totally bored. To be honest made it 12 hours and tossed to out the car window somewhere in TIME.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

NO way............he needed TIME out. Wife should of made TIME to explain TIME management to him.....Hmmm!

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?

In a very boring way......a interesting waste of TIME.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

He was boring too. He needs to think about spending his TIME silently reading.

Do you have any additional comments?

Tried very hard to listen but fell asleep every TIME. It made no since. King was trying to make a go of it, but YUCK!!!... Why go back in TIME to change something in time, so if you go back again it changes back to the time you wanted to change. in the first place, very single time?. HUH?

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Suzanne says: "The scare is in the human nature under stress."
"Kind of sort of liked it!!"

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

great story but King did rambled alot.....alot. Made it longer then it needed to be or over told the story.

    Any additional comments?

Made the ending to dramatic......dont get me wrong I did enjoy it once I excepted that the town people there were really stupid by letting what happen inside the Dome happen. Without giving away the story, Once you except that, Ok,

There's a place in Wentworth, Ohio, where summer is in full swing. It's called Poplar Street. Up until now it's been a nice place to live. The idling red van around the corner is about to change all that. Let the battle against evil begin.
