"Good characters but the narration was annoying"
LIked the characters, and the story was okay. Unfortunately the narrator worked too hard to pronounce every word so clearly that it made for a stiff and unnatural reading.
"Wonderful book and outstanding narration"
So enjoyed listening to this with the different readers -- it really enhanced the story. I don't know if all the main readers have Southern roots but they all had very realistic Southern accents. The only exception was for the scene read by Cassandra Campbell. While she is a wonderful narrator for other books, her attempt at a Southern accent was painful to listen to.
"Might have liked to read it better than listen"
The story was okay, but the reader got more grating as the story went on. Her reading of the male voices sounded almost cartoonish at times.
"My favorite by this author"
I've read or listened to quite a few books by Jill Mansell and this is my favorite. Likeable characters and an enjoyable story. The narrator did a good job too.
"Wonderful narration"
Enjoyed this audiobook immensely. The narration really adds to the story and the richness of the characters in this classic.
"Enjoyable book and great narrator"
Really enjoyed this book. The characters were well done and the narrator did an outstanding job.
