"Bland uninspired"
The language, the subject and the presentation all combined to create a flusher! none of the characters were the slight bit endearing or even entertaining.
"The Long Walk is a Long Listen"
It's not what I'd call a compelling work; I doubt that you'll want to listen again and when you're through you will understand futillity. I found myself wondering what type of society could create such entertainment and wonder if we are indeeed headed in that direction. This book will make you think and wonder.
"King is more Liberal than I thought."
Like most liberals; King believes the world will just naturally fall in line and be good little boys and girls and the rest of us should trust them and our Government with our lives. He dosen't believe the greatest danger is from our own Government. He believes we don't need and 30 round magazines to shoot deer or home invaders and he's right. deer rarely shoot back and criminals who invade our homes usually come and go rather quickly. The gentlemen who penned the second ammendment saw a real danger from the old addage
" Power corrupts" and the Obama administration is one of the best examples since Bill Clinton or Richard Nixon. The Government already has planes, tanks, ships and bombs. Don't take what little defense we have, Mr. King......
"Not very impressed"
I didn't mind the flashbacks, but too much time and effort went into hashing over the same information; in short beating a dead horse. He dosen't mind mind killing folks off in wholesale lots, but with very little purpose. Much gore meant to shock. Not something I would recommend or wish for more of.
"Directions for all men and the women who love us."
A entertaining, insightful and funny guide for all men from cradel to grave and useful information from the woman's point of view... A must read.
"Foul Launguage with nothing to say!"
He has alot to rant about, from a country/western signer and wife, who are christans to getting old and very little of this was humorous. If you like listening to this guy cuss, without a point; this is your cup of tea.... I have enjoyed his performances in the past, but this one is a zero.
"A blueprint of what America should do."
This is a timely book and addresses most of the issues that confront us today. Though most of us would find the path these people take to be harsh and brutal; after consideration you will grow to accept it and wish for such people among us.
"Not up to expectations"
Jokes were not very entertaining. English slang hard to follow. only laughed twice through all the book.
"A winning combination"
Will Patton is Dave. I've only listenend to one of Burke's books read by someone else and he did not do it justice.
