I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this funny, poignant collection of observations of lives many little challenges and joys. We miss David and his fabulous talents.
Very juvenile and much less sophisticated or intelligent than any of David Sadaris book, as it was compared to. Maybe a latent Valley Girl teen might appreciate it. Sorry
We love all David Sedaris books, listen this one after Naked and it fills in the wonderful upbringing and life of a wonderfully insightful, odd and funny family producing one of my favorite authors.
Wonderfully articulate as all his writings, just a few moments that were a bit over the top ranting... I enjoyed Fraud more overall if you were to only get one of his books.
I enjoyed each and every moment of this beautiful story. The narration brought the touching, relevant story to life in such a delightful way. I felt a part of the characters and so related to the conversations we all have like this in confusing daily lives. Just beautiful, and I cannot recommend it enough.
Some good twists in the story, fun to listen to. Where can we find men like the lead characters?!
More detail on comercial fishing than one might realize they wanted to know, lots of Russian cultural insight... a bit drawn out, but fun to listen to.
