If you could sum up The Forgotten Garden in three words, what would they be?

Figuring out the past is difficult, but rewarding. Just knowing who you are and where you came from is important

Seven years ago Kaylin fled the crime-riddled streets of Nightshade, knowing that something was after her. Children were being murdered— and all had the same odd markings that mysteriously appeared on her own skin….Since then, she's learned to read, she's learned to fight and she's become one of the vaunted Hawks who patrol and police the City of Elantra. Alongside the winged Aerians and the immortal Barrani, she's made a place for herself, far from the mean streets of her birth.

Would you try another book from Michelle Sagara and/or Khristine Hvam?

I'm not sure. Purchased this book when it was on sale for $4.95. The story was okay, but it felt like it dragged out.

Would you be willing to try another book from Michelle Sagara? Why or why not?

I think this is the of this series for me. It just wasn't to my taste.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I wouldn't really call it a romance, it is more a coming of age story, and dealing with the past.

Would you recommend Cinder to your friends? Why or why not?

It is a basic story that has been told over and over again. This one had a different twist but it was very simple. I thought we would have gone farther in the story than were it ended. I'm not sure I will get the next book.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Propbably not

Would you listen to A Perfect Blood again? Why?

I would listen to this book over and over again

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rachel is by far my favorite character, but I was drawn to Wynona. For such a small part to play in the story, she was a strong person, never giving up.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Rachel took off and ditched the body guard. Running across the street to catch the bus, and feeling of satisifcation just made me laugh.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If Kim's books were shorter, I would listen to it in one setting. Since they are longer, I can enjoy them for much longer periods of time. I love the story and the reader.

City of Fallen Angels take up where City of Glass left off. With Valentine out of the way, Clary thought she and Jace could finally be together--but when someone starts murdering the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to destroy the new peace between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, she realizes the past can never be left entirely behind.

I love Cassandra Clare's writing style. This book was disappointing, Clary is really starting to get whinny and will Jace ever learn. The entire tormented soul thing is getting kind of tiring. The book is worth the read, but if the next one is the same then it won't be a series I'll continue

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Tally never wanted to be Special, but some talents cannot be denied. Specials keep the Pretties happy and naive, keep the Uglies wishing to be Pretty and - most importantly - keep the Smokies powerless. But their latest mission is to end the New Smoke forever, and there is still a little part of Tally that is telling her to think for herself, that remembers a time when Tally lived happily among the Smokies. Maybe the Specials aren't really protecting anyone but themselves.

We read the first 2 books, and this one was just kind of drawn out and painful. We had to read it because it was a series right?? Honestly not worth it and we will probably stop here in the series.
