I am never tempted to listen to a book in it's entirety a one time, especially one of this length.
I listened to the whole "Dark Tower" series over a three week period. A little long, but an excellent story. This was my second listen to the whole series. Steven King's descriptive writing is excellent, this is what makes the books long.
I best enjoy a book by reading along with the listen. This was an exceptional book to complete this way, even though I only used the print version about 75% of the time. I really enjoyed listening to Traci Odom, with her inflections of voice.
The interaction between 'Lissa and Gavin and how he wanted to protect her without her knowing it, even though he thought she was going to be eliminated by the "council". He was falling for her and did not want to admit it.
Never listened to Traci Odom before.
The beginning was slow, but after the first third of the book, it was tough to put it aside.
When will the next book in this series be available? Keep the same narrator!
Did not read the print version. I listen to audio books due to an eye problem.
Max is a good lead character, but the supporting roles of the "flock" are good. Many of the interactions that are emphasized are similar to relations between teens.
After listening to the 1st and 2nd "Deadly Sin" it was like, this book was not as well written or organized. It was not terrible, just not as good as the "Deadly Sins" books. It was as if this was the first book Sanders had published.
Yes, as I said, I read this out of order. I will listen to the "Deadly Sins" series.
Excellent story continues
Mystery and counter intelligence is more important to me than the magic.
The barn fire and it's aftermath.
All is not as it appears.
Once you start, you must listen to all three "study" books. This is the third time I have read or listened to the series. I catch additional nuances during each read/listen.
I enjoyed the continuation of the overall storyline.
The learning curve of the kids learning to control their powers. You didn't know where the next use of their power would take them.
Both were good, I would not pick one over the other.
I was disappointed with the writing. Patterson has books that are written a lot better.
