The story is good, not as good as Caine's Reckoning, but good. The narrator, as has been stated, is a little off-putting, but you mostly get used to him. Worth the money.
"Sad"
I love Georgette Heyer's Romances. I'm working my through them all. This one made me sad. It's as well written and narrated as the rest, but more cynical.
"I had to stop listening"
I love Sarah McCarty's Hell's Eight books, but this one's Quaker main character doesn't use 'thee' correctly so I had to stop listening. FYI, Sarah, 'thee' is the objective case, the subject of a sentence should be the word 'thou'. As in, "Thou art a good dancer, I have to hand it to thee." Dangit. I love Tucker's character in the other books too, so I'm disappointed to miss what happens to him.
"Second verse, same as the first."
These books are addictive. The sex is good, the vampire world is interesting. She's added more detail to the lore here. I love these books.
"Liked it just fine."
Not my absolute favorite Megan Hart... I didn't like the men too much in this one and there was a lot of uncomfortable family stuff where I was looking for more about the relationship between the main characters.
I listened to all of her others more than once, but not this one so far.
"Loved it."
This recorded book is a perfect mix of content and narrator. The story is a good one and the characters are engaging. Lots of steam. In fact, I blushed during parts.
Well worth the money.

Good narrator, good story. I loved the Twilight series, and this is just as innovative and in depth a fantasy world.
Well worth the cash.
"Seriously?"
This book had too much drug hazed fantasy for me. The dialog was full of anachronisms, which really bugged me. Just an annoying listen.
