"A Delight for Foodie Nerds"
If you like Alton Brown's "Good Eats" or "Iron Chef," this is your book. My husband and I enjoyed it on a car trip. Then, my in-laws listened and share it with the grandkids one chapter at a time on the way home from school. The science has captured the interest of our 9 year old nephew.
"Excellent book, worth a listen"
I would have loved this book based on the history along. But, I was pleasantly surprised how much the relationship between John and Abigail is explored. Their marriage is just as central as the history. Great read. The abridged version leaves me wanting more - maybe not 20 hours more though :)
"History with supense"
This was a very good book. My only complaint is that the medical descriptions were a little TMI for my taste. But, these are easily skipped over. Fascinating book. It is written in a way that you want to keep listening. I listened to this with my husband and we both enjoyed it together.
