    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 12 mins)

    • Narrated By Kathleen Godwin

In the near future, the Krinar rule the Earth. An advanced race from another galaxy, they are still a mystery to us - and we are completely at their mercy. Shy and innocent, Mia Stalis is a college student in New York City who has led a very normal life. Like most people, she's never had any interactions with the invaders - until one fateful day in the park changes everything. Having caught Korum's eye, she must now contend with a powerful, dangerously seductive Krinar who wants to possess her and will stop at nothing to make her his own.

"To be honest I didn't finish the book"
What disappointed you about Close Liaisons?

For me it seemed to drag, skip and preach. I now have lots of reasons pointed out to me on why I should switch to a plant based diet. I didn't realize that was what I was buying. Bummer cause my husbands a butcher so that is soooooo not happening. I also didn't care for the reader.

What could Anna Zaires have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

For starters leaving out the constant preaching about eating only plants. Although I listened to the whole first half I didn't care about any of the characters.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Kathleen Godwin?

    I dont care.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment! I thought it sounded like a really great story idea but I felt for me it was very poorly executed.

    Any additional comments?

    Keep your credit!

Lia says: "Very Sexy Love Story"
"What I thought "Fifty Shades" was going to be."
What made the experience of listening to Bonds of Trust the most enjoyable?

I LOVED everything about this book. From the start to the end and everything in between. The story idea was well thought out, the characters were well thought out and executed and the narration was spot on.

What other book might you compare Bonds of Trust to and why?

I cant think of a book to compare it to but I'd love to find some others.

What does Emily Cauldwell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was perfect with the emotion and the tone!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to this all in one sitting! I couldn't shut it off! Head phones are a great invention.

    Any additional comments?

I would have paid twice as much for this book. This is what a book with bdsm should be. If more people read this they'd be like Fifty shades of what? I hated fifty shades. I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

  • Fifty Shades of Grey: Book One of the Fifty Shades Trilogy

    • By E. L. James

    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

What disappointed you about Fifty Shades of Grey?

Everything! I suppose if you know nothing about the world of bdsm you might think this book is "kinky" (thats what I was told) but it's complete crap. I didn't like the reader, I didn't like the writing (seriously if I heard "my sex, or down there one more time I was going to slit my throat) Hours of my life I'll never get back! Only good part I now know to never take another book recomendation from my friend.

Would you ever listen to anything by E. L. James again?

I would sooner gouge my eye out with a spoon! It would be more interesting.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Becca Battoe?

I don't think it was her fault, the book sucked!

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    It wasn't any longer.

    Any additional comments?

I did learn to read the reviews. I unfortunately read them after I finished the book, if I'd read them first I NEVER would have gotten it.
