In her phenomenal New York Times best seller The Other Side and Back, acclaimed psychic Sylvia Browne introduced millions of people to a world beyond our own, where they saw for the first time that death was not the end but just another phase in our eternal journey.

    "A good book"
    Overall

This book is abridged. I read the hardback and would have liked it even more if there was an unabridged version. This was very good however for most people to get the overall picture with a good number of details too. Sylvia did a good job narrating this I thought too.

The prolific, perennially best selling author recounts his early life and writing struggles, gives advice on the crucial aspects of the writing art, and talks about his much-publicized, near-fatal accident.

    Bill says: "Excellent!"
    "Perfect Balance and Informative"
    Overall

I found that this audio book was the perfect balance between Mr. King's story and writing "how to" insight. I found his story very entertaining and funny at times. I found the advice portion (about half the audio) to be insightful, informative, and some parts especially profound. Great work from a Master, indeed.

On November 15, 2004 in Washington, D.C., David Weinberger, former senior internet adviser to the Howard Dean presidential campaign, discussed how weblogs work & their value in gathering knowledge. He is now at Harvard University's Berkman Center for Internet & Society, where he is working on a book about how the digital age is changing the way information is organized & classified. First in a series.

"Sound Quality is Bad - Dated, and Boring"
    Overall

The sound quality was bad. This is dated too, 2004. I found it very boring and combined with the sound quality being terrible, I didn't listen to much of it.

  • Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao

Five hundred years before the birth of Jesus, a God-realized being named Lao-tzu in ancient China dictated 81 verses, which are regarded by many as the ultimate commentary on the nature of our existence. The classic text of these 81 verses, called the Tao Te Ching or the Great Way, offers advice and guidance that is balanced, moral, spiritual, and always concerned with working for the good.

    Jesse says: "Changed my thoughts"
    "Pretty Good"
    Overall

This was pretty good, but not up there with his best work. I am a fan of Dr. Dyer and I think this could have been better. One drawback is his soothing voice narrating this book. His voice tended to drone me to sleep if I were in bed. I had to listen several times to hear the book due to this. As far as content...

The book is deep, "very" deep. It may be too deep for some and I think I fall into that category. It went so deep that he lost me at times. This is why I give it a 3 star rating instead of 4 or 5 stars. Deep, but not so deep that you lose the point would have been better.

I think his unabridged version of "The Power of Intention" was far better.

Finally, you can speak directly to customers and buyers, establishing a personal link with those who make your business work. You can reach niche buyers with targeted messages that cost a fraction of your big-budget advertising campaign.

    Mark says: "Not Enough Depth"
    "Not Enough Depth"
    Overall

The author has a 9 hour and 23 minute audiobook here. He could have cut out the fluff and narrated this in 1 hour. I got bored to tears of him exhaustively rambling on and on about blogs! The gist of the book is blog a lot, make your site content rich, and do PR news releases.

The rest is spent defining technologies that are out there and not spent explaining how to use those technologies to their maximum effect and reap the benefits.

When I got finished with this "very" long audiobook, I was worn out and felt like it needed far more substance and less fluff. I had my hopes up and was very disappointed.

This was a very good audio with many insights into "the other side" concerning ghosts. It used many stories to illustrate things to the listener. The background on James was good to include because it gives the listener a perspective on him and his work. Thumbs up. Great job.

The biggest, most successful businesses you can think of all started small and grew their way to massive success. What was their secret? Is there something those companies have in common - from Microsoft to McDonald's to U.S. Steel - that helped them grow from small businesses to globe-spanning corporations? The answer is "yes," and it's right here.

    Mark says: "Interesting Insight"
    "Interesting Insight"
    Overall

The author lays out a technique for marketing to bring more profit faster. In listening to this technique explained, it sounds practical and simple enough for anyone to implement. There is an offer incorporated into the book, but this book is not a veiled product pitch because it has practical value within the information itself.

The author also offers some free resources at the end which could spark additional ideas. The author gives a way to quantify the level of opportunity mathematically, however, I think the explanation of the implementation materials should have been given in more detail.

More real world templates "for free" not an up sell, even if at a basic level, should have been provided in my opinion. Then if someone would want "very" detailed templates, "then" they could go with the product offer.

This would have provided significantly more added value. For this reason, I give this work a 3 star rating rather than a 4 star. Not bad, good information that you can certainly use, just not as tangible as it could have been.
