Yes, it had a good story. Some highland romances make the female protagonist too naive. This book had a good balance.
I think that the people complaining about the narrator were too harsh. Yes, I've heard better narration for highlander men, however she didn't make the book unbearable to listen to. Her male voices improved as the book progressed, with a few slip-ups along the way. I've listened to many books narrated by women that I couldn't finish. Male narrators are my preference, but I still would listen to more books in this series if they kept this narrator.
Yes, it was an entertaining read.
I'm waiting to read/listen to the rest of the series. I liked the characters. Some of the rape scenes were a bit too graphic, but otherwise it was a good read. I would recommend this book.
It kept my attention. I would listen to others in the series if the narrator does better on the female voice(s).
She did a decent job differentiating all the characters, however she made the heroine sound way too winey.
She does a great narration.
This is a sequel to the last victim. You will want to read that first. You have to have an open mind to reading about ghosts & people being wrongfully convicted of a crime in order to enjoy both books. SPOILER: The 1st book got a lot of bad reviews because the love interest was the ghost of a convicted serial killer who claimed innocence. This book showed some proof of Michael's innocence... hopefully the next book will exonerate him.
Possibly. I liked the whole series.
Probably not. She reads okay, but I didn't like her voice. It doesn't match the character. The narrators from the other books in the series were much for fitting for Sam.
It would have been , if the voice didn't bug me.
This is not my favorite lisa Jackson book... but it was okay. As far as the narrator, she needs to work on a the males voice.
The voice for turner makes him sound like an old man not a twenty, then thirty something year old. Otherwise the narration was fine.
The book is classified as a paranormal romance... so it baffles me that people would give it a bad rating for being far fetched. If you want something realistic, 1) why are you reading anything classified as paranormal 2) why are you reading a romance novel? Overall, I liked it. It has a different twist then most of the paranormal romances out there. As for all the negative comments about the "falling in love with a serial killer", the book insinuates that he was wrongly accused... hopefully the next book will prove he (michael) was not a serial killer.
