This was a great audio book to listen to. I wish all audio books could be as entertaining.
I'm a big Jeffery Archer fan, but I must say that I don't like books with no ending! This one had no ending. If Mr. Archer wanted to set up a sequel, he should have given us some kind of closure. He did nothing of the sort this time.
I did like the storyline and the narrator.
I'm not a Stephen King fan, but this book strays away from his usual format, and he keeps his rambling to a minumum. I would read more of his books if they were like this.
The reader does a great job and the book is very entertaining. It's on my better book list.
The best thing about this book, is that you can actually keep up with the seris. That being said, it had too many wasted words in it.
This was an interesting story, but not a five star for me. However it was above average if you care anything at all about history.
Did everyone expect that Follett could do another "Pillars" and "WWE". Get over it. This book was still way above almost everything else out there. John Lee was great once again.
If you're from the south, and over 50, you have surely heard and known some of these characters. A good read, especially for the summer.
This is surely not up to Archer's standards. I should have rated it higher, but didn't because I expected more from the author. I'm a fan. Don't expect to be "WOWed".
The author can write and talk like an educated southener and can make us remember a simpler time, but the book is the most depressing book about the biggest SOB that I have ever read about. I can't give it zero stars, so it gets one star. Don't buy it!!!
The book uses about three or four times as much info as is needed.
