"Great Story!"
Loved the book! It was fun to hear how Jeff started out and how he progressed to where he and the guys in the suitcase are today.
"Great view from inside the Family!"
The story was very interesting. The fact that the story was written and read by the Son made listening even more enjoyable!
After years of hearing various accounts of the "mob's" help in getting President Kennedy elected, it was facinating to hear Mr. Bonanno's account of that issue.
Mr. Bonanno's inside view of the Mafia is quite different from what you read or have read in press accounts.
"Very Dissappointing!"
No!
The book was advertised as a sometimes "funny" memoir about the authors anxiety. However it was much more about his sexual exploits then his anxiety. Had to stop reading after a couple of chapters! Not funny, very little about anxiety, nothing like I was expecting.
All of them!
I don't think the person who wrote the description of the book for Audible ever read the book! I really would like my credit back as I beleive the book description was very misleading.
"Very Interesting book!"
I prefer the audio editions with my busy schedule! I can listen while I exercise or when driving. This book is a great example of why, in some cases, audio can be better then print since the Author was also the reader!
I had the opportunity to hear John Douglass speak in person many years ago. His passion for the work he did was very evident in his presentation to the audience. That same passion is there in his book.
"Heartwarming & Fun!"
I really enjoyed listening to the authors thoughts on Merle's expressions and what Merle was thinking!
Merle! He has such personality even someone who does not like dogs would surely love Merle.
Picturing Merle "skiing" down the powder slope.
Towards the end of Merles life when he was having health problems I was in tears. I could feel the loss as if he were my dog.
If you now love or ever loved a dog, you must read this book!
"Incredible story written by an awesome writer!"
Ann Rule has an incredible writing style that engages you from the start. Not many authors can do that, but her insight into each case plus her background in law enforcement give her a completely different view from any other writer.
