honestly the story line is getting a bit old. How many crazy people really want to destroy the world and leave behind a trail of obscure clues that only a Harvard symbology professor can decypher?

This is a fantastic story. There a reason this booked launched Tom Clancy into mainstream fame. CIA agents having a shoot out on a Missing Russian nuclear submarines-what could be cooler?
The actual recording is horrible. They have run it through some program that removes all the pauses between words and sentences. The voice speed has been turned up so that it sounds like he's speed reading. It's understandable, the first time I heard this was actually on cassette, so they were aiming to get the recording on as few tapes as possible, but c'mon, this isn't 1988! Time for a new recording, this one is almost painful to listen to!
