Great story - typical Reacher - edge of seat tension. The only thing wrong was the narrator. To me, Reacher is Dick Hill!!! Jonathan McClain doesn't even begin to fill the bill. Question is, when they have a narrator that makes the listener feel that he/she knows the characters, why change to another voice who interprets the character differently - McClain doesn't give Reacher nearly the punch that Dick Hill does. Great disappointment!
Unseen was better than Criminal (which I returned), but I still don't care for the flashback style Slaughter has adopted with these last two books. Hopefully, she'll return to her previous brilliant style. As always, I loved the Kathleen Early narration.
Very disappointing afte listening to the first 4 in the series, narrated by C.J. Critt! This narrator is distracting - reads too fast, and I HATE her accent! Also, why is a 3 hour book so expensive!???? Think I'll return it, and I won't buy any more, because there aren't any more narrated by Critt, and I don't want to take any more chances on these narrators.
LOVED the story - great plot, but I DO NOT like this narrator - his cadence is all wrong. Why does no one "proof" his performance before release? Overall rating would have been a 5 star but for the narrator.
I loved this story - I'm gettging hooked on FI, but does no one listen to this narrator before the books are released? He puts emphases and inflections in the wrong places, and throws the listener off with his cadence. Surely, there is a director who oversees these readings - if so, that person did not do his/her job properly. Please find someone else to narrate future FI books.
Great story - Monica Ferris has done it again! The performance left a lot to be desired in my estimation. Susan Boyce put emphasis on the wrong words - used inappropriate inflections, and was, in my opinion, hard to listen to.
I'll never buy another audio book done by Burt Reynolds! His voice was irritating, hard to hear in parts, and hard to understand in others - at one point, I swear he was trying to sound like Gabby Hayes!!! I loved the story (as usual), although I'm curious as to why Harry's new wife, Eleanor was not mentioned at all in this book. The Alliso murder was mentioned (Trunk Music), but apparently Eleanor has vanished. It'll be interesting to see if Connelly brings her back in A Darkness More Than Night.
