I was a little disappointed towards the end but overall it was worth the read. If nothing else it shows how recently in history we didn't know what was going on! (Do we now?)
Sorry, didn't enjoy it. I've read other books of his and enjoyed them but I think his style is beginning to wear a bit thin.
This was an excellent read. Mr Feynman is confident of his abilities and not shy to demonstrate them. But the story also humanizes him. Really enjoyed it.
Great listen, logical and easy to follow. Still excellent relevance to today. Very interesting people.
The reader has the style for Mr Leonard's books just right. Really enjoyed it.
Very interesting period in history but excellent continued relevance to today's world. Also, I like the lecture style.
Interesting period in history but this account seems repetitive at times. Didn't really have enough meat for a full book.
Didn't work at all for me. Story seemed trite.
The first half of so of the book is an interesting tour of social, health and economic improvements of the last century. The balance is an unsubstantiated political discussion that blurs many topics together. Especially annoying to non-Americans will be the equation of the US with the free world and assumption that every country to wants to be like the US in its heart of hearts. Also some thinly disguised racism.
The back end of the book also calls into question the statistics and viewpoints expressed in the first sections.
