New York Times best-selling author Stephen Hunter is back with another breakneck thriller, in which ex-Marine sniper, Ray Kruz, must outwit a group of murderous Somali terrorists who’ve laid siege to the Mall of America. Recently retired marine sergeant Ray Kruz has been talked into a mall trip by his fiancé, the beautiful Molly Chan. For Ray, Molly represents a way to reconnect with normal life, something his 20 years in the service and five tours in two combat zones have prevented.

This has the ear markings of a hundred or more "Good and Worthy" Action books. Before you think this is one of those novels; stop.
I believe it has a dozen or so paragraphs from each great novel of the Great writers of action and adventure rolled into one book. I would never state that there is a verbatim sequence of these other great novels because that would be plain illegal.
This book is fine if you need a quick pick; you see it, and time is ticking before you lose your hot spot WIFI connection.
To have it to hear in the background while you shop or multitask this is a good book. But if it costs a credit or more than $5 please spend a little time to find something else.
I listened to it all so there is some attraction and basic plot at work. It's just is a plot with a hero and nemesis that is comic book 101. There is nothing of substance in the whole book. But who said that is a bad thing?

Mr. Maberry had me hooked on this series all the way.
This last(?) installment of the Joe Ledger series was funny, believable, unbelievable, and vivid in the minds eye.
When I stated "unbelievable I meant it literally, and yet the author (and Amazing Narrator Mr. Porter) were able to spin it into an actual masterpiece of a novel. I wish to say so much but being a "spoiler" is not my game. Even though my analytic side of my brain was yelling"; This Is Stupid" the creative side of my mind trumped it with the excitement.
This book has 70%+ of narrative dialogue that easily destroys many Authors published works. (Even Mr. King has killed good books this way) This is a novel that keeps you listening to every, self absorbed and arrogant moment of Joe Ledger. His descriptive and essential character building, and dialogues are essential to this book. It just "Makes" you keep listening and waiting in anticipation. I only recall a few books that can get away with this and they are usually Award Winning Documentaries that Narrative and descriptive writing is the basis of the book. (A couple of these are "Outlaw Platoon", by Parnell and "The Outpost", By Tapper)
Please, I urge anyone who has an open mind and enjoys Thrillers, buy this series. Yes the whole series. You won't be disappointed.

The Rosenberg series has been days of excitement and thought provoking narration.
I only give 5 star ratings for true everlasting masterpieces. (Like Outlaw Platoon by Parnell and Bruning, and The Outpost by Tapper) After once again wishing I could give a 4.5 for this whole three book series I give it a absolute guarantee of enjoyment if you are a reader like I.

Believers in the Christian way of life or not, I believe this is serious mental exercise and edge of seat listening. The narration is flawless, the writing style flows with ease, the story is believable, and this book has amazing historic fact and research.
A must read/Listen for readers such as I. After over 200 books I have gone through, I was running out of great Authors and series to choose from. Stumbling onto this series with general browsing feels like a blessing.

At 6:00 a.m. on the morning of October 3, 2009, Combat Outpost Keating was viciously attacked by Taliban insurgents. The 53 U.S. troops, having been stationed at the bottom of three steep mountains, were severely outmanned by nearly 400 Taliban fighters. Though the Americans ultimately prevailed, their casualties made it one of the war's deadliest battles for U.S. forces. And after more than three years in that dangerous and vulnerable valley a mere 14 miles from the Pakistan border, the U.S. abandoned and bombed the camp.

I am a person who loves Fiction and suspense novels. Often indulging in the passion for Post 20th Century History information I was, for the second time since the book "Outlaw Platoon (by Sean Parnell and Bruning)", taken whole heartedly into the tragedy of the Islamic Fundamentalist Jihad scourge. This book reveals the reason our youth is being destroyed and permanently impared for thier entire lives after leaving this land of Afganistan.
This war has been waged for a decade and these brave, strong, and incredibly trained Military youth are worthy of praise and Prayer.
If you want know why we are there and fighting this war, this book is not the answer. It is however the truth of our freedom enjoyed in this Nation.
    A must read.

This Book was dressed up as a newly released Lee Child: Reacher Novel.
The narrator butchered this book. I feel like a fool for the fact I had bought it a year ago. It was presented in a manner that allowed me to not check my Reacher series.
I am ultimately at fault, this I can admit.
My ears still burn with the noises that Mr. Jonathan McClain made of the voices throughout the entire novel. I am certain he could perform well in a different genre, because of the redeeming quality I heard in the freeform pure narration parts but not the actual characters voices. This books intensity was displaced due to the characters being delivered in a cartoon like fashion.
I have never written a bad review because the books I have not liked are books that are not in my taste. Yet this time I am actually disturbed, and feel if someone had listened to this book with it’s Narration it may ruin the fantastic talent, and action Lee Child brings to life in the Reacher Series.

I find it very fortunate that I listened to the Novel Intercept prior to listening to this FANTATSIC book. A novel that riveted my mind and intelligence for almost a full non-stop marathon.
The Novel "Intercept" was clearly number two in this series and I knew the whole 1st half of the book was very detailed and seemed to educated the reader with descriptive, flowing and transfixing detail. Some may have lost interest at this, but I became even more intrigued in the whole series. The character development was a masters work. Mr. Robinson has found his way to the top of the great Intrigue and international operations series in all 300 books i have purchased through this site.
Diamond head had me from the 1st sentence. I would love to sit and discuss this fantastic novel with anyone.
Oddly I would even most enjoy a discussion from someone who does not share my appreciation. It would be a look at a mind that may need to seek a different genre that would fulfill them in a better way. Clearly this series could not be challanged in its entirety for the exact Mystry and Suspense division it sits in.
The Diamond Head novel was as an ice cold Coka-Cola would to a man who thrists for a break from heat and dust. I thristed for a series that could hold me as well as the greats we all know, After the 30 plus great (some just mind candy) suspense series this sits with the top 4 men of talant.
We thank you Mr Patrick Robinson

I rarely write a review about any of the 200+ books I have listened to. Yet this Short book of The Myron Bolitar Series has gripped me from the first opening sentence to the last.
I mention “short” book even though at 8+hrs, there is so much more that I am left wanting. When a book has the edge and creativity to reach out through the excellent quality of narration such as Jonathan Marosz has demonstrated to touch me with laughter, sadness, incredulity, and yes even ridiculous plot sequences I am forced to share this with the listeners/members of Audible.com.
Never will the Molitar series ever compete with the ilk of a “Ken Follett, The Pillars of the Earth”, type of masterpiece. Saying that does not mean in any way Harlen Coben has not found an amazing way to spin such a wide array feelings into an act of suspenseful fiction.
To this series I tip my hat, and will grant my rare 5 stars across the board. I would certainly enjoy a discussion with someone whom could not enjoy this book. It would be fascinating to know the mindset of such a polar opposite than I.
