"Valuable content but it is hard to sit through."
The concepts of this book are valuable and timeless but it was a tough book for me to sit and listen too. The narrator does the best he can with the material but it can be pretty dry.
"Loved this book!"
It might be because I grew up on a computer and spent many years both as a gamer and professional hacker, but I really enjoyed this book. I was so excited to see how it ended that I bought Freedom TM before I finished so I could just keep going.
"Good book for every parent to listen too"
Whether you agree or not, this is a good book for any parent to listen too. We have found ourselves in a world that is overly protective and layered in bubble wrap and the only people that suffer are our kids. I often find myself having to reflect back on the wisdom shared in this book to ask myself if I'm going a little overboard in the decisions I make for my kids on a day to day basis. It is important that we allow our kids to grow up and keep our own desire to protect them from hampering their ability to experience life to its fullest.
"Intense and informative"
It is always interesting to see inside an organization, warts and all. Eric does a great job of showing us what the Delta Force is and isn't without taking away from the great deeds and sacrifices of the men and women that are willing to do whatever it take to preserve our freedom and safety. Thanks for the book!
"Long but worth the time to read."
Neal does an excellent job of building up characters, keeping the story moving and weaving just enough different threads to make this enjoyable. By the end of the book, I found myself almost sad it was over. I had gotten to know these characters and found myself missing them when it was over and wanting to know more about how their lives played out after the final scenes.
"Just fun. Bill Engvall is a great story teller."
This was a good listen when you need something that is fun, heart felt and reasonably short. I enjoy listening to him tell his own story and felt better hearing him explain why he is "just a guy". For all us dads out here, it is good to know that we aren't the only ones dealing with ups and downs while we make more mistake after the other.
"Enjoyed reading this and appreciate the change"
Stephen King did a great job of blending fact and fiction to tell a story the pulls you in and has you wanting to see what will go wrong next. The narrator did a good job with the characters and making the story feel real.
"Good story and concepts"
This was a pretty good short story to help lay out some basic concepts. Although it does not go very deep in any one area it is a good primer for things like Think and Grow Rich. The story telling is pretty good but any story such as this is going to be limited by the a concepts and the nature of teaching key business concepts in audio form.
"This story jumps around a little too much for me"
I enjoyed the build up of characters and the base premise but it was a little too disjointed for me. I found myself frustrated at times with the changing story line. The narrators did a good job of bringing the characters alive.
"Great book and the performance was well done"
I enjoyed the story more in audio form than written. The narration helped the story come alive for me. I haven't read this in years and wanted to hear it again before I saw the movie. I wasn't disappointed.
