A private detective working in Wilmington, North Carolina, is found dead in a gas-station restroom, apparently poisoned. But when her body sets off radiation alarms in the pathologist's office, suspicion falls on the nearby Helios nuclear power plant, a heavily guarded facility with supposedly fail-safe procedures.

I stopped listening to this novel half way though. The plot just got to silly to continued with. This author has done much better in his other books. Pass this one by. This book and Spider Mountain has the same characters and the same defects. You will be best off skipping them both.
Train Man by this author is good. I have listen to it several times.

After centuries of stasis, the island kingdom of Charis began to defy the edicts of the Church of God Awaiting - egged on, some say, by the mysterious warrior-monk Merlin Athawes. Now, in the wars and intrigues that have cascaded from Charis's declaration of independence, the populous Republic of Siddermark is sliding into chaos.

The narration was terrible . For this reader not to have listen to the prior novels and used the same names as the prior narrators was just arrogant . Every one connected with this production should be fired

I think this story is just brillant. I am on my third listening of this story. You should listen to the Sky People first, but this one is even better. Give it six stars on the five star scale.

Summoned by a friend, ex-cop Cam Richter agrees to do a favor: investigate the assault of a young woman in a remote area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cam knows the misty hills and shadowed hollers of the park, and his outdoor skills might break a case that local cops can't - or maybe don't want to - solve.

Canidy, Fulmar, and colleagues in the Office of Strategic Services face an even greater task than ever before: to convince Hitler and the Axis powers that the invasion of the European continent will take place anywhere but on the beaches of Nazi-occupied France.

I have read most of W.E.B. Griffin's books. This book is not his. He might have created the outline and created the characters but the prose is by Butterworth the too many. It reads and listens like buttermilk. Don't waste your time or money and if you have, ask for a refund. A good nap would be better.

Highflying army career women Sergeant Amy Callan and Lieutenant Caroline Cook are both victims of sexual harassment by their superiors. And now they're both dead. FBI psychological profilers start the hunt for a serial murderer; a smart guy with a score to settle, a loner, an army man, a ruthless vigilante known to them both.

Tim says: "Reacher is great. The Reader is not."
    "not his best I guess"
    Overall

I agree the reader was not very good. His female voices were terriblely done. He would have been better not trying to alter his voice at all. I have read several Lee Child books and this may be his worse. I Guess. Perhaps the book tittle could be changed to " I Guess " given the number of times the phase was used in the dialogue. Some books can be head twice. I am listening to Brian Haig's "the President's Assassin" again, but this book is hard enough to listen to even once. You might be better off with a different choice.

In this stirring audiobook, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence, when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper.

This the best telling of the Revolution I have ever heard or read. Perhaps it should be required reading in every American history course. The author has done for the Revolution what Bruce Catton did for the civil war. You must get this book it is not an option.
