Tourist season is swinging into high gear in Miami. So are the activities of a bizarre terrorist group determined to keep the hapless "snowbirds" away. Armed with bombs, weed, and jumbled credos, they move toward their grand target, the Orange Bowl Parade, with plans to bring Miami and its tourist trade to a halt.

    "A Raunchy Side-Splitting Romp"
    Overall

Carl Hiassen manages to combine pulp-detection, ecor-terrorism, and raunch into a side-splitting romp into the sordid, carpet-bagging side of the Florida most of us know only as the "Sunshine State". Delightuflly performed by the versatile George Wilson.

World-renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to a Swiss research facility to analyze a cryptic symbol seared into the chest of a murdered physicist. What he discovers is unimaginable: a deadly vendetta against the Catholic Church by a centuries-old underground organization, the Illuminati. Desperate to save the Vatican from a powerful time bomb, Langdon joins forces in Rome with the beautiful and mysterious scientist Vittoria Vetra.

"A Nail Biter to the End!"
    Overall

While Angels and Demons got off to a slow start and the detours into the reminiscences of the characters were often hard to follow and were distracting from the story line, the story did pick up steam and was positively nail biting to the end. A wonderfully informative, intellectual thriller!
