"Good"
I enjoyed the book, but at times it somewhat dragged. It was one of those books that are entertaining to read and entirely forgettable.
"Exciting Thriller with a Message"
This is another very enjoyable Dan Brown thriller. The entire book focuses on overpopulation and it's consequences. Personally, I agree with Mr. Brown. Overpopulation is an issue that we rarely hear about in the news, yet has more potential for self destruction than almost any other global issue.
The story line centers around Robert Landon's efforts to find a genetically engineered virus, whose impact is not yet known. I particularly enjoyed the vivid descriptions of both Venice and of Istanbul's Hagia Sophia and spent a good amount of time watching YouTube videos of the famous buildings and art described in the book.
Inferno is well worth the credit and the time to listen to it. Enjoy!
"The Ending Disappointed - ****SPOILER ALERT****"
Sookie is Ms. Harris's creation and she can end the series as she see fit. However, while Sookie is still Sookie, and Johanna Parker is wonderful, as usual, I don't see Sookie with Sam. Where were the fireworks between the two??? Regardless, I've truly enjoyed this entire series.
By the way, Ms. Harris has some equally charming characters in her other series, Check them out.
"Wonderful Story, Fabulous Narrartor"
I have a special love for historical fiction, and as usual Edward Rutherfurd does not disappoint. He makes Paris come alive.
"BDB - The Sexist Vampires Ever"
J.R. Ward's latest on the BDB is as fascinating and exciting as the first 9. It also goes without saying that the narrater has the sexiest voice in audiobooks! Now, I can hardly wait for #11.
"I Love this Series"
Matthew Corbett is an interesting and exciting fictional character. The story is great and the narrator is perfect for the character. Excellent.
"Love this Series"
Robert McCammon is a wonderful writer. This series, which follows the character Matthew Corbett, is interesting, exciting and highly entertaining. The story keeps you awake because you absolutely have to know what happens next. The narrator is perfect for this character.
"Who doesn't love Pendergast"
Brimstone doesn't disappoint. Pendergast is his usual interesting self and the story was engaging. Can't go wrong
"Trite"
I looked forward to listening to this John Jakes book. I was very disappointed. The characters were predictable and boring. Not to mention that while the actual history was researched and factual, the characters acted in a way that did not reflect the society in which they lived.
"Not as good as Passages"
I rated this book the same as Passages. but I don't think the story is as good. I felt the end of the book was almost like a children's story. Where everything comes out OK, and everyone gets what they want. It was good, but lack something Passages had. Scott Brick was excellent as usual.
"Excellent"
I almost didn't get this audiobook because of the the reviews. I'm happy that I didn't listen to some of the negative reviews. This book is terrific.
I love Justin Cronin's writing style. His descriptions of both people and place are so vivid you almost believe their real. Scott Brick was WONDERFUL. I can't imagine a better narrator for this series.
