All the Sherbrooke clan are alive, well and in rip-roaring spirits in August of 1815. Two months after Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, Tysen Sherbrooke, the youngest of the three brothers, now 31 years old, a vicar, a widower, and the father of three children, has just been told by the earl that he's become the new Baron Barthwick of Kildrummy Castle in Scotland.

    Story

This book left me wondering in certain areas. For example, a drunken man torments and attempt to harrass or rape a young women with 3 kids. He knocks her down and cause her to miscarry. The book gives nothing about how the husband was angered over the mistreatment of his wife or the loss of thier unborn child. I expected some fist play or something but nothing happened to avenge that action. I wanted to know how that was dealt with.
