I am very pleased with the audio version.
The use of characters for he fathers writtings. Very fine use of the old in the new version.
The length of the audible book makes this a fine 2=3 session listen.
I have been able to read all of her fathers books and Tony Hillerman would be proud to have this tradition carried on by his daughter.
The story is tight and quick action
Perhaps not so much quick action, somewhat contradicts the above however at thime too much going on for me.
Emotions and clarity, I really enjoyed his work and will add novels he participates with in the future.
I notice the trend of dual authors and just do not believe the story quatlity is the same as the older novels. I for one will probably avoid this franchise in the future.
I have decided that I am just not a fan of this author. Therefore not really able to give an unbiased review.
I did recommend this book to my son and grandson, both baseball fans. A very enjoyable read. I did enjoy the little talked about facts of the starting of the American and National Leagues.
The author taking over for Robert Parker will have to prove himself. This reading did not do that for me. Will see how other writings are handled.
the story line was unusual to say the least. The story was tight and on line throughout the book.
The reader was clear and into the story.
The emotion of living the story.
This is a great listen for those who feel that the Iraq / Afghanistan wars should continue and what a lost cause this era and wars have been. I am an 81 year listener and find the story very emotional and real.
