The Diamond family has survived murder, deceit, and betrayal. Through it all, they’re still standing tall, and a new era has begun. After surviving an attempt on her life, Breeze has moved into the queen’s position by Zyir’s side. Zyir has taken over the empire and locked down Miami’s streets; the world is in his hands. But there is always new blood ready to overthrow the throne. Young Carter has retired and moved away from the madness - that is, until he gets an unexpected visitor at his home. What disappointed you about The Cartel 4?

Tired of several things very quickly: sound effects - really? description of every piece of clothing worn, yawn....Basically, while the series was never great, it was a decent read. This last one will be my last one. Reads like a B rated movie..

What could JaQuavis and Ashley have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Add some polish. The storyline could really be compelling, but it just seems to devolve to the a bunch of cursing, descriptions of clothing, sex, crap. When they do attempt to show any depth or complexity to any of the characters, it starts to be interesting. It's quickly erased by something that portrays an extremely lucky/dumb/ super-human.

    Any additional comments?

I'm done. I need a story to end. It's clear this is a soap opera style book -- and I could care less what happens to any of the characters -- they're all just too shallow.

Rosalind Benegal is a BBC correspondent who has spent years distancing herself from surreal memories of a childhood spent in India. But lately her long-lost sister, Miranda, has taken to sending her cryptic postcards all the way from Bombay. In swirling script, Miranda claims she’s being followed by a eunuch; she alludes to her childhood fear of water; she hints that her husband may have murdered his first wife. Miranda’s dizzying missives compel Rosalind to do what she would never do on her own....

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

NO, This was the hardest book to get through -- the narrator's voice was monotone and awful. She ruined the book.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Susan O’Malley?

    Not sure, but not her.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes, the story line was good. Just poorly executed.
