What would have made Crunch Time better?

The author needs to remember that readers want ACTION, not chapter after chapter of dialog. Nothing happened for multiple chapters as Goldie reminisced, then Tom interrogated, then more dialog. Ugh.

I've read every book in this series, and this by far was the worst.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The narrator was great, as always, but I don't know how she managed to read the book without falling asleep.

    Any additional comments?

Can I get my money back?

From the author of the critically acclaimed New York Times best-selling Archie Sheridan/Gretchen Lowell thrillers: The first in a nail-biting new series featuring Kick Lannigan, a young woman whose complicated past has given her a very special skill set. Famously kidnapped at age six, Kick captured America’s hearts when she was rescued five years later. Now, twenty-one, she finds herself unexpectedly entangled in a missing child case that will put her talents to the test.

Would you try another book from Chelsea Cain and/or Heather Lind?

I love Chelsea Cain's other series but this was boring and way too slow for an action book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Chelsea Cain again?

    Yes

How could the performance have been better?

It did nothing to increase the excitement. Her performance was perfunctory.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from One Kick?

Most of it. Soooooo boring. Every time someone breathed it was described in excruciating detail.

    Any additional comments?

    Don't bother. Awful.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator was unbelievably nasal. Really unppealing and distracting. Almost a caricature... My kids kept imitating her.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Untethered Soul to be better than the print version?

Content was amazing but I kept getting distracted by the poor audio editing... The volume went up and down, almost like the narrator was whispering at the end of each sentence.

Thank Goodness It's Fiber: That's the name of the spunky group of fiber and needlework artists founded by Ivy McClellan, Kath's beloved grandmother. Though Ivy has recently passed on, the members still meet regularly at her fiber and fabric shop, The Weaver's Cat, which Kath has now inherited. But that's only the first in a series of surprises when Kath returns to the small town of Blue Plum, Tennessee, to settle her grandmother's affairs

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I couldn't even concentrate on the story or listen for more than 15 minutes. The narrator has to be one of the worst voices ever.

What was most disappointing about Molly MacRae’s story?

That I couldn't concentrate on the story because of the narrator's distracting voice, enunciation, and accent.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Her accent was flat and harsh on my ears, and her voice was awful.
