Everest gets all the hype but K2 has always been where climbers go to prove themself. Great narration of the history of triumphs and tradgedies on mountain climbings "holy grail".
I am a huge wheel of time fan and was listening especially hard to see if I could spot any differences with Brandon Sanderson's writing and to tell the truth, other than a couple descriptions, I could not tell the difference. I am looking forward to the book release on the 27th and for those WoT fans who have not read any of Sanderson's work, I highly recommend his "Mistborn" trilogy which is also read by Michael Kramer who does the WoT audiobooks and is also available on Audible.com
After hearing several people rave about this series I had to give it a try and I really don't get what all the hype is about. I have listened to some 75 hours of a narrarator who you often cant understand what he is saying, This coupled with the endless references to characters genitals and thier frequent visits to prostitutes; not to mention grown men being encouraged to procreate with a 12 year old was pretty disturbing. The story itself has not progressed much since the end of book 1 and I dont plan on wasting anymore time with this series. I know it gets alot of hype but I dont see why. I guess if I was a 18-25 male it might be somewhat more appealing but I am not and it isn't.
