Not the best one in the Bond series, but if you want to listen to the entire series you may as well include this one too. Story is from point of view of a woman who is helped /loved by James Bond. It does drag on a bit before bond ever comes into the story.
The story was OK, I listened to the whole thing, but I never really got drawn into the story. Nowhere near as entertaining as Holmes is.
YES. I both laughed and cried. Bader has a great sense of humor - his dry understated British description of situations was most humorous, but the descriptions of some of his efforts to help other amputees was so touching it brought tears to my eyes.
Amazing fortitude - to overcome the loss of both legs and fly again and maintain a sense of humor. WOW!! Great story. PS I would recommend this to anyone who has lost a limb - or is feeling sorry for themselves.
Fun story, enjoyable listen. Wish this had been published before my visit to China as it contains very interesting insight into China and Chinese Food. Only one caution, listening to this story may make you hungry :-)
Way too long winded, wish I had bought the abridged version instead of this one.
Tim Curry is good, but now where near as good as version by Jim Dale.
Great story. I can't wait for the next two books to be made available by Audible in the unabridged version.
Couldn't wait for it to end, would suggest an abridged version. Not a bad story but way too many digressions.
Very enjoyable, slightly predictable but a fun story to listen to.
A most unusual story, made all that more intriguing by being true. Couldn't stop listening.
