It's been three years since the devastating accident... three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever. Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock-star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to a friend because it's a great story.

What did you like best about this story?

I love that the story happens in 24 hours but is able to recap 3 previous years in the process.

What does Dan Bittner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Because he is a man and is admitting to some very personal defeats surrounding love - it was much better to hear the emotion of the words said by a man rather than it be the voice in my head.

    Any additional comments?

What a treat to get a follow up to If I Stay. I loved how everything turns out for all characters involved. I listened to it in one day because I couldn't turn it off.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Would you listen to Divergent again? Why?

I wouldn't listen to Divergent again because I'd rather enjoy a new book. The book was good but not worth another listen however, I would listen to book 2 or 3.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the detail about the factions. I also like how the story got started right away. There is no giving this book an hour to get interesting. There were also some twists and surprises I didn't see coming which I am sure laid the ground work for the furture books. What is it about trilogy's these days anyway? Aside from insuring the author stays employed why do we need 3 tales of everything? Sometimes one book will do and let readers demand for a follow-up, it needn't be shoved down our throats...coming off my soap box...the budding love story is perfect YA as well. The unknowing and insecure girl, the loner and devastatingly handsome to everyone but himself type of boy. The innocent love story in the midst of brutality.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where each initiate had to go into a virtual world and face every single fear they had. To imagine that actually happening is scary...I'd be in that virtual world for a mighty long time facing all of my fears.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Hunger Games except different....

    Any additional comments?

I was entertained and the book was worth the credit.

Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare.... Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well - until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

What made the experience of listening to On Dublin Street the most enjoyable?

It was an easy enough story to listen to. Everyone was very likeable, there really wasn't any terrible conflict. It was pretty much easy breezy in Scotland until...the sex. If this boats a rockin'....holy cow can this woman write some very detailed and realistic sex scenes. I would stop working and just stare off into space whenever Joss and Braden started up. Not being a fan of romance novels or chick lit in general because aside from the silly story lines, the sex is completely unrealistic with all of the "throbbing centers" and "explosions of joy...always at the same time" Seriously?? But not Samantha Young...she makes it great without being over the top..unlike some other book series that shall not be named. She got it just right...for me anyway. I'd give another title of hers a whirl just based on the sex alone.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

My reaction wasn't surprising. It wrapped up like a Lifetime Movie.

What three words best describe Paula Costello’s voice?

I know it's supposed to be only 3 words but whatever...great accent yet it fell flat and just deadpan at times..no emotion really. And sometimes I didn't know if she was thinking to herself or actually speaking to another character. Annoying but again the story was't about how to disarm a nuclear missle, I was able to catch up after a moment.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me extremely hot in the pants at times...

    Any additional comments?

Overall the book is worth the credit. Nothing earth shattering here in terms of story but it's relatable and the characters are likeable and sometimes that's all you need in any book. Not every book is meant to be life changing...sometimes you just need to have a little fun. Perfect ear candy.

The two-time Emmy Award-winning actress has written her first book, a surprisingly raw and triumphant memoir that is outrageous, moving, sweet, tragic, and heartbreakingly honest. Guts is a true triumph - a memoir that manages to be as frank and revealing as Augusten Burroughs, yet as hilarious and witty as David Sedaris.

What made the experience of listening to Guts the most enjoyable?

Hands down the narration of Kristen Johnston made this book most enjoyable. I'm so glad she read her own story so that I know the way she meant it to be heard. She is witty and hilarious. Some of the things she said was down right heartbreaking. I'm sad it was only 4 hours. Also her accents are spot on. I was totally engrossed in everthing she had to say.

What does Kristen Johnston bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Kristen brings her own story to life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

2 parts - I laughed until I cried when she talked about kicking that bully kid. And I felt empathy for her when she was so sick yet trying to convince everyone she was well trying to cover up at the expense of her life.

    Any additional comments?

Aside from being the girl who fell out of a highrise window on an episode of Sex and the City, I didn't know much about Kristen Johnston. She's very talented - I can tell just from her narration of this book. She is definitely an actress I will follow now. And I hope she narrates other books in the future.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Would you listen to Gone Girl again? Why?

Absolutely. There are so many angles and nuances to this book. I just finished and I know I will spend days thinking about this story. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE books like that. That it's a very giving story, not just one angle, good or bad. It's like life - there's everyone's version of the story and the story you side will be the one most like yourself, except beware when you begin to side with the devil. There is no simple way to capture marriage and while this story is a marriage where the couple and the problems of their marriage have been magnified - the dialogue and feelings are not far fetched. They are human and I can relate on most levels but they are also crazy.

What other book might you compare Gone Girl to and why?

"The Time Travelor's Wife" not for subject matter but similar in the way that the story can be viewed so many different ways depending on the type of person we are. As far as similar subject matter I would say "War of the Roses"....on steroids, amp'd and ready to go.

Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first time I've heard either reader.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not necessarily but that doesn't mean I was any less interested. I'd figured out early on what was happening but then dismissed my guess because it was far fetched maybe but then the book seemed to take another turn every time I listened to it so eventually I just gave in and let the book happen for me.

    Any additional comments?

I just might create a book club for this book so I can actually discuss in detail!!

If you could sum up Every Last One in three words, what would they be?

    This is grace.

What did you like best about this story?

The simplicity of it. I can relate to the main character in every way. She seemed like she could've been me or a friend of mine.

Have you listened to any of Hope Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first Hope Davis performance. She was brilliant. Never overwhelming - which could have happened with the subject matter and kept me in the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If time permitted - yes, I could have listened to it in one sitting.

Yes - I love it when an author reads their own work because I get to hear their interpretation

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Having been married and divorced, I know there isn't any one way to define happiness in a marriage, or in life for that matter. I do however enjoy listening to other peoples takes and experiences.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Would you listen to The Hunger Games again? Why?

I have listened to this book twice. Once for myself and a second time when it was required reading for my 7th grader. The story lead the way for us to have some great conversations about the world and how we view it and how we can become numb to certain things.

What about Carolyn McCormick’s performance did you like?

I like the readers slow and concise pronunciation of her words. My only issue was that she didn't sound like a teenage girl - she sounded like a woman. It would have been different if in the story she was telling her memoirs but it was supposed to be from the point of view of a teenager. This is a minor detail and it didn't take me out of the story too long - I got used to it.

    Any additional comments?

This is a great book that brilliantly deals with some heavy subject matter. I highly recommend. It is worth the credit.
