Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I am a huge fan of Daniel Silva's books. So, I would definitely recommend the book.
I might suggest reading this one instead of listening. The sound quality and performance were a hindrance.

How could the performance have been better?

First better sound equipment! Second have John Lee perform the reading.

Could you see Prince of Fire being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes and definitely NOT Tom Cruise! Matt Damion, Hugh Jackman,

The ancient Druid Atticus O’Sullivan gets more than greasy corn dogs and flat soda when he visits a carnival in Kansas to which his apprentice, Granuaile, drags him. He runs across a barker with a strange power over the crowd: attractive women leave their men and disappear into an unmarked tent, never to be seen again, and the men wander away, forgetting that they ever had girlfriends or wives. When Granuaile falls under the barker’s influence and enters the tent, Atticus isn’t about to forget it and move on.

Would you try another book from Kevin Hearne and/or Kirby Heyborne?

I love the Iron Druid Chronicles. I've listened to all of the books. I can't comment on the story because I couldn't get past the reader. Horrible.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

In spite of the reader I love the series

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

After listening to the entire Iron Druid Chronicles with Luke Daniels as narrator Kirby Heyborne is like listening to melba toast. Simply awful. Luke Daniels brings so much more
variety to the characters. I hated everything about Kirby's performance as a narrator.

    Any additional comments?

If you like the series, then read this one and avoid Kirby Daniels. I'm returning this book!

The Profiler's Daughter is a psychologically haunting thriller that combines murder mystery, love triangle, and family intrigue in one satisfying page burner. Sky Stone was born into the wealth and privilege of Boston's oldest Brahmin family but chooses instead to follow in the footsteps of her deceased father, legendary FBI profiler Monk Stone. In the chilly morning hours before the Boston Marathon, when a beautiful university student is found strangled and mutilated, her body left at the base of Heartbreak Hill, Sky returns from self-imposed exile to investigate.

    No.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

    Very irritating voice.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Profiler's Daughter?

    Didn't finish.

What disappointed you about Ready to Kill?

The narrative went on and on with minimal action and predictable action. I was very frustrated and bored throughout the entire book. I've read all of Peterson's books and like his characters.

What was most disappointing about Andrew Peterson’s story?

It read like a book that was written to meet a deadline.

How could the performance have been better?

Better story and much better character dialogue.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Ready to Kill?

I don't know if I'd cut so much as condense and speed up the book.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes. Enjoyed the book thoroughly. Multiple lines of conflict happening simultaneously.
Obvious ending. Wish Baldacci would have chosen a slightly different ending and add a new character.

Which character – as performed by Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy – was your favorite?

Hard to to say. It was well performed.

Was The Target worth the listening time?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

    Why an obvious ending?

Would you consider the audio edition of The Bone Season to be better than the print version?

No. Only because of the performance. Good story.

What other book might you compare The Bone Season to and why?

There are a number of books one might compare this one too, Angelopolis, Divergent Trilogy, The Hunger Games. All have ignorance, intolorance, bigotry and subjugation themes and an underdog that over comes adversity.

How could the performance have been better?

The performers voice was with out flection, so one word blended into another.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It would have been except for the reader. Really found the lack of inflection annoying.

What other book might you compare The First Commandment to and why?

Anything by Vince Flynn, Daniel Silva, Tom Clancy, Mark Greaney

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

But now, Beecher White - the hero of the number one New York Times best seller The Inner Circle - discovers a killer in Washington, D.C. who's meticulously re-creating the crimes of these four men. Historians have branded them as four lone wolves. But what if they were wrong?

What would have made The Fifth Assassin better?

    Less tedium.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Vince Flynn

Would you be willing to try another one of Scott Brick’s performances?

Maybe. Scott can get tiresome with his intonations. Sometimes it'd be nice if he just read the book and didn't insert so much voice inflections.

What did you like best about Rainbow Six? What did you like least?

Overall I like the story line. I like the newer Tom Clancy books read by Lou Diamond Phillips. The story is at time over wrought with minutiae.

What didn’t you like about Michael Prichard’s performance?

I am not a fan of Michael Prichard's. His style of reading runs from one scene the next making it difficult to realize you're now hearing about a different scene. I also find
that I start to tune him out.
