"'Boy, do I have a lot to learn!'" Anyone who's ever picked up a musical instrument of any kind - from the first caveman banging rocks to that little kid at the guitar shop - has thought that. I know I did. I'd been trying for years to break in to the music scene, to show everyone my chops, to make my mark. And I was good. But I wasn't great. I knew that there was something wrong. Then the teacher showed up...."

"Great creativity and inspiration for musicians"
    Overall

This audiobook is pure joy to listen to, and the production is totally amazing. It is addressed to musicians in particular, and it is of great inspiration and depth.
    A full five stars.

Lacey Yeager is young, captivating, and ambitious enough to take the New York art world by storm. Groomed at Sotheby's and hungry to keep climbing the social and career ladders put before her, Lacey charms men and women, old and young, rich and even richer with her magnetic charisma and liveliness. Her ascension to the highest tiers of the city parallel the soaring heights - and, at times, the dark lows - of the art world and the country from the late 1990s through today.

    "Flat"
    Overall

I found this book slow, flat, predictable, with shallow characters, and read in a monotone boring way. This is against a lot of reviews I read before purchasing it, but it's my honest opinion. If you are not very interested in the NYC art world, consider the purchase well before making it.

A brand new lawyer and his young bride have returned from their honeymoon and are moving into their new high-rent apartment. In order to reach this "charming" dwelling, they must first climb six creaking flights of stairs. Once there, they find the place is absolutely bare of furniture, the paint job is all wrong, the skylight leaks, there is room for only one twin bed, and the wacky neighbors pop up at the worst times.

It's for free but I would have paid for this funny and refreshing program. Thanks.

In this, his first audiobook, Tony Hsieh - the widely admired CEO of Zappos, the online shoe retailer -explains how he created a unique culture and commitment to service that aims to improve the lives of its employees, customers, vendors, and backers. Using anecdotes and stories from his own life experiences, and from other companies, Hsieh provides concrete ways that companies can achieve unprecedented success.

    "Revolutionary"
    Overall

As a senior executive I am trying to find creative ways to match happiness with business needs. Tony tells the story of how this is possible, in practical and actionable details, with humor and the authority coming from putting all this in practice in "his" company, Zappos.
I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to listen to a good story about life and happiness, and if you're also in business and want to change the rules so that a more human environment welcomes you in your office, do listen to this.
