Blair Mallory lives the good life. She's pretty, confident, and the owner of a thriving upscale fitness center. But in the shadow of success, a troubled member of the club develops a strange fixation on her, imitating her style and dress. Matters take a darker turn when the look-alike is shot dead - and Blair witnesses the horror.

    "The narrator!!!"
    Overall

I wish I had read the other reviews before I wasted my credit for this one. I couldn't get past the first 20 minutes. That narrator was horrible!! I have listed to hundreds of audio books. This is the first time I just stopped before I finished the book. It may be a great story, but I'll never find out. I prefer to move on.

More!! I hated it when I finished the last book of the trilogy because I wanted MORE! I love Becca Battoe as the narrator. She added spunk and character to Ana. I would change nothing. In fact, this is one of a very few books that I would (and will) listen to again. Hopefully E.L. James will add to this collection -- or start anew with another series.

Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

I loved the narrator!! I don't understand the negative reviews. This book was addicting. I literally could not stop listening to it. Completed it in a day and a half. Am looking forward to the next two books. Too bad I need to work for a living and can't devote my day to listening to Book #2 yet.

Baltimore Homicide Detective J. D. Fitzpatrick has seen a lot of horrific violence, both as a cop and during his deployment in Afghanistan, but nothing like the trail of tortured bodies that are turning up throughout the city. He’s up against a brutal killer with a very personal vendetta, and now J. D. is beginning to suspect that his medical examiner may be shielding some crucial evidence linked to the case.

    "Good story -- Horrible narrator!!"
    Overall

I almost stopped listening after about 30 minutes, but since I love all of Karen Rose's books, I soldiered on. The lisping narrator was so annoying! I'm not sure if it's a speech impediment or if she is lisping on purpose for some unknown reason that only she can answer. Whatever the case, it almost ruined the book for me -- almost. I agree with a previous reviewer, buying the book was an idea I had as well. If not for the narration I would have given it 5 stars.

Stunning, stubborn, and independent, Philadelphia Fox lost her best friend because of the fabulously rich and powerful Lightfoot family of Washington state. An unexpected and irrepressible spark between them blazes into extraordinary passion, and Phila - historically unlucky in love - finds the deepest satisfaction she has ever known.

    "Narration is HORRIBLE !!"
    Overall

I have listened to hundreds of audio books and have never written a negative review about a narrator -- but this is the exception. The narration was grating and maddening. I don't know which was worse, the female narrator or the male. Both were equally bad. In fact, I almost stopped listening to the book after the first chapter. It's a good story, but almost isn't worth the horrible listen. Reading the book would have been a better choice this time.

The narrator almost ruined an otherwise good book. Exciting story despite narration. If you can overlook the voice and intonation of the narrator, you will probably enjoy this audio book. In the future I will avoid this narrator.

    "Too much sex"
    Overall

I agree with a previous review by Henry. There's too much gratuitous sex and not enough story line during the second half of the book. I got sick of hearing about the sexual tension and "heat" between the characters. I enjoyed Dangerous Tides and Night Game much more. This is definitely the weaker of her books. It was hard to make it through the second half.

Hank Mallone knows he's in trouble when Maggie Toone agrees to pretend to be his wife in order to improve his rogue's reputation. Will his harebrained scheme to get a bank loan for his business backfire once Maggie arrives in his small Vermont town and lets the gossips take a look?

    "So-So"
    Overall

The narrator was hard to listen to. The story line was okay but not exciting. If you want a bit of fluff with not much thought to be given to a story line, this will serve that purpose. Again, the narrator was the biggest obstacle. I was glad when I finished this one.
