After listening to the first two books, which if you haven't listed to them you MUST go try them, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. In series books tend to run along the same story line and at times predictable, this book was nowhere the same as the other ones. This third book was a ray of hope, a battered soul who due to his unfortunate upbringings is who he is and... well you'll see, can't spoil it now. Once again it is a book with just right amount realistic romance, humor - you will bust up laughing out of nowhere - and great story.

Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this. Evelyn Thomas' plans for celebrating her 21st birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened. One thing is certain, being married to one of the hottest rock stars on the planet is sure to be a wild ride.

A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

While I think that Neil Giaman ability to paint very colorful and descriptive senses I just couldn’t finish this book. You must me a big fan of his writing style to enjoy this book. I found myself drifting in and out of the story that I couldn't tell you half of what happened. I do think that he is a great narrator and his voice is enjoyable. As a mother of this book reminded me of the small critical things that kids fear and while they may be insignificant to us adults, they are true deep fears to kids. Thanks for the self-reflection.

Book one intrigued me and so I went and got book 2 now I am so glad I did! All the characters are well written and introduced. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat, when you think you know what's going to happen there's a little twist and that twist builds on more and more. People this is not like any other "angels" book. You can start on book 2 but will need to go back to 1 to know know the characters are

At first the narrator was a little anoying, but holy crap he is the perfect narrator for all of these books! His interpetation of Gabriel has a hint of Sean Conneray and it fits!

Listen to me and try this book out...

    Happy listenings :)

Given the chance, 15-year-old Peregrine "Perry" Eckert would dedicate every waking moment to Creatures & Caverns, an epic role-playing game rich with magical creatures, spell casting, and deadly weapons. The world of C&C is where he feels most comfortable in his own skin. But that isn't happening - not if his parents have anything to do with it. Everything changes, however, when Perry gets to camp and stumbles into the World of the Other Normals.

All my life I've tried to "get into" the dungeon and dragons cult, but no luck. This book was not bad for me only because I can see the many possibilitiesof incorporating any video game to this story line. It would be very interesting to see a "Legend of Zelda" twist. So if you are a gamer this may be your cup of tea. Good narrator, good characters.
