"A statement or two could summarize this book"
Glad it was short, glad it was inexpensive. Not a lot of information just commonsense ideas. Basically it tells you to get up early and get moving. Your brain works better in the morning. Try not to rush out of the house and start your day in a frenzy. Duh
"King at his longest"
I might
maybe
Don't lose your place in the last two downloads You'll never figure it out.
"Crude but funny"
Only certain friends would appreciate this
An interesting listen, you have to have the right sense of humor and the ability to ignore the f-word. Most chicks wouldn't want to read it but I'm not most chicks, Adam Carolla makes a lot of interesting and valid points.
"A Native Detroiter"
I learned a lot more about the politics that were going on when I was a child
The names of local places and streets are frequently mispronounced. The pronunciation of a major street in Detroit, Gratiot was almost unrecognizable. This is so distracting that it really should be rerecorded.
"Hard to follow"
It would very much depend on the subject
You have to be very interested in the information in order to finish listening to it. I often lost track of names mentioned in the story. Based on letters, which is fine as long as you know that going in.
"Always a good read (listen)"
I've been reading and/or teaching this book since it came out in the 70ies. It will be one I keep on my phone so I can listen to parts of it in the car any time I want
"LONGEST 6 HOURS OF MY LIFE"
NOTHING. MY OPINION IS IF HE DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD REPUTATION THIS BOOK WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED
YES, I'VE READ SOME OF HIS OTHER BOOKS AND LIKE THEM. I WOULD LOOK UP REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING
GETTING WORSE AS IT GOES ALONG
I THINK DEAN WANTED TO ONE UP STEPHEN KINGS ROSE RED
