Thoreau's classic account of the solitary life, describing his attempts to simplify his life and sort out his priorities by living alone in a cabin beside Walden Pond for nearly two years, is one of the most influential books ever written. The bible of the environmental movement, Walden vividly portrays Thoreau's reverence for nature, and his understanding of the idea that nature is made up of crucially interrelated parts.

Great, inspiring book, but the narration was rife with mispronunciations, which was pretty annoying.

Out of nowhere, like a fresh breeze in a marketplace crowded with advice on what to believe, comes Byron Katie and what she calls "The Work". In the midst of a normal life, Katie became increasingly depressed. Then one morning, she woke up in a state of absolute joy, filled with the realization of how her own suffering had ended. The freedom of that realization has never left her, and now, in Loving What Is, you can discover the same freedom through The Work.

Where does Loving What Is rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In a nutshell, our problems are not caused by our circumstances, but "the story" we tell ourselves about the situation. The real power of the book is Katie's simple, straightforward 4 step approach which can break through our resistance and help us understand this powerful concept. I find it to be a very practical and useful device which produces great results fast. I am already seeing them in my life.

What did you like best about Alcoholics Anonymous - Big Book - Original Edition? What did you like least?

Great book, terrible narration. Filled with errors.

Would you be willing to try another book from BN Publishing? Why or why not?

    No.

What aspect of Jason McCoy???s performance would you have changed?

The guy needs to learn how to read. An absolutely abysmal job.

    Any additional comments?

There are so many errors in the narration of this book, a new version should be released.

The Craig Beck stop drinking method is unique: No need to declare yourself an alcoholic. It's a permanent cure, not a lifetime struggle. There are no group meetings or expensive visits to rehab. No humiliation, no pain, and 100% no will power required. His method treats the source of the problem, not the symptoms.

Where does Alcohol Lied to Me rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

As a person who has struggled with alcohol all my adult life, I found this book to be extremely helpful. The author says that willpower, nor knowledge alone will not get you to stop drinking. Instead he builds a powerful case, that the only way to stop is to convince yourself that stopping drinking will cause less pain than continuing to drink. The trick is TRULY to believe it. I have tried countless times to stop drinking, but Craig builds a powerful case using his own travails, to make the case. I have not been able to conquer alcohol because there was always a part of me that didn't want to stop. This book hopefully can make me a permanent believer. I highly recommend this book to those who have struggled with any addiction.
