This story picks up with the characters from Big Stone Gap as Ave Maria learns how to make marriage work. The same characters are present, and the same emotions are raised with the reader. If you liked Big Stone Gap read Big Cherry Holler.
This story sees a lot of loose ends tied up, dreams realized and re-dreamed and even a surprise ending. What an emotional and fun way to end the series. I hope to finish all of Adriana's books by the summer.
Big stone gap is the excellent start to a trilogy. I started with the hard cover and bought it again on audible so I could read it on my way to work. You'll fall in love with the characters, they'll anger you and make you cry. Adriana really knows how to work on your emotions with her writing. A must read if you've ever lived in the Big Stone Gap area as I have, or if you've never even been to Virginia.
