The events that followed changed her life forever. Twelve years later, the woman now known as Abigail Lowery lives alone on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. Alexander McCall Smith’s No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series has become a worldwide phenomenon thanks to the appeal of endearing protagonist Precious Ramotswe and the author’s charmingly quirky prose. In this 13th installment, Mma Ramotswe’s attention is focused on a pesky disciplinary problem at her adopted daughter’s school - while Grace Makutsi adjusts to wedded bliss and the famed Clovis Andersen arrives in Botswana looking for more than bush tea.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

To have a story behind it. This was as entertaining as describing what you have done in the last week!

Would you ever listen to anything by Alexander McCall Smith again?

    possibly

How did the narrator detract from the book?

bad story better narration than the story

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection?

I'd rewrite it. The wife quit listening before completing the first cd I did too and finally picked it up hoping it would get better. It didn't.
