    This book was great as far as the mystery of it was concenred. But far too often the writer took us down the path of exploring the personal life of Alex Cross. If you've read his previous books, I'm sure you'll agree a little character development goes along way -- let's face it we really like these books because of the unsolved mystery... not the tochy feely moments with his family. The mystery however, was first rate.

    We listend to this on the ride home from Las Vegas, then in the car to a ski trip and then home from the ski trip and then in the house ... we just couldn't wait to get to the end! It's a good mystery and it'll have you guessing the whole way!

    I tried to listen to Sara Vowel read this and I had to turn it off. Somehow, the little snippets on NPR, I can take her voice, but this... no way. I advise reading the book yourself. Becasue it really does seem like it will cover very interesting topics -- just don't choose to have Sara read them to you.
