Cadfael's return to his Welsh homeland for a visit proves a rather discomfiting homecoming when an honorable nobleman turns up in a patch of forest with an arrow embedded in his chest. There are questions about the arrow, the man's daughter needs Cadfael's help, and a very odd burial takes place.

Zenjen says: "Very pleasant if not much of a mystery."

Where does A Morbid Taste for Bones rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best. Patrick Tull is perfect for Brother Cadfael. Ellis Peters and Brother Cadfael are classics, and this is the best of the series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Morbid Taste for Bones?

Without giving away the ending, the ending shows Ellis Peter's humor at its peak. She has a subtle humor, that satirizes many aspects of Medieval life at once.

Have you listened to any of Patrick Tull???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Other Brother Cadfael books. Patrick Tull captures the aging contemplative, who still keeps one foot in the outside world, perfectly.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

How do you solve a murder, and make everyone happy at once?

    Any additional comments?

If you want a well written Medieval mystery series, this is the place to start.
