I did enjoy this book. I didn't expect to because of some of the other reviews I had read. I found it suspensful enough too want to get to the next page even though I figured out all the 'who-dunits' before the end of the book. I enjoy the midwest settings and the downhome 'good ole boys' fishing and drinking. I was even comfortable with the gay/lesbian aspect and I thought it was well handled and not over played or bashed in anyway. This was a 'fun listen'.

This was a great listen. There were a couple "turns" in the story I didn't see coming. As usualy, John Sandford didn't dissapoint.

Just when you think the book is coming to an end, it goes off in another direction. This happens more than once. I love the spirituality of this series and how a 'good ole boy' can have such insight. I put this series on and have cleaned areas in my house I have only thought about cleaning before! I just keep going so I can keep on listening. Loved it! I laughed and I cried and I held my breath in many places. The bonds of friendship in this series is the kind we all hope we have.

This was a wonderful experience...you could almost feel yourself freezing in the snow. There were laugh-out-loud moments and tearful moments but what I like the most about this author is that he describes the scenes with such fine detail that you can practically smell the food cooking or the donuts baking. Truly enjoyable read with enough suspense to keep me listening. I actually cleaned my entire garage before I knew it, all the time listening to Walt and Bear and the irreverent Vick.

I love this series and the Tara Foundation. The combination of the reader and the author are perfect. Despite murder and intrigue and bad guys, this is STILL a fun read!

This book was OK and as usual caused some out-loud guffaws and I did enjoy it. However, it was less suspensful than some of the others and seemed to drag a bit. I still enjoyed it but not as much as some of the others in the 'dog' series.

Sorry, I just couldn't get into this one. There was no suspense, just sex, sex, sex...it was disturbing, not thrilling and the narrator didn't engage me either, I thought his tone was flat. I like the other Sanford stories but truly disliked this one from start to finish.

This was my first introduction to the Prey series and I am glad it was. I really enjoyed this book. Being in the medical field, that kept me interested in the plot and following the twins' surgery. I enjoyed it very much, right up to the end.

I have read several of the Prey books and I enjoyed this one from start to finish. You always knew "who did it" but there were twists and turns along the way and some unexpected bits and pieces. I was kept wondering right up to the end how it was all going to tie in. I didn't find it too graphic or raunchy and it was easy to listen to. I enjoyed this book. More than Phantom Prey, which I found a little too 'out there' at times.

I couldn't put his other books down and looked forward to this one. I was really disappointed. The extreme violence was a big negative for me and I didn't think there was much suspense. It was a hard read (listen) for me. I am glad it is over.
