    It was just another after-work happy-hour bar downtown, where business professionals unwound with a few drinks, complained about the boss, maybe hooked up with someone for the night.     All of the In Death Series - the way the author has built the series around the characters makes you feel like they are in your life


    Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Susan Ericksen?

    I wouldn't change her... In the past I have LOVED her (I have listened to the entire series 3 times)... this book, her voice is the same for each character, but there is something different with the flow or cadence - it sounds like she is emphasizing every word, and to be honest, it is REALLY annoying to me. I haven't listened to the whole book yet, but I have considered stopping with the audio and just reading it. I keep thinking it will either stop, or I will get used to it. I hope that something medical hasn't caused her change - if it is, then I am sorry... I am still having a hard time listening.

    I have adored this series, J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) is spectacular in her character development!!

    I am sure if I would have read this book that I would have enjoyed it... the narrator destroyed it... it made the charactors sound like complete nerds... her inflection was awful and her phrase stresses changed the intended meaning. It is sad.
