It was just another after-work happy-hour bar downtown, where business professionals unwound with a few drinks, complained about the boss, maybe hooked up with someone for the night. Until something went terribly wrong. At first it was just a friction in the air. The noise intensified. The crowd seemed oppressive. Some sharp words were exchanged, some pushing and shoving. Then the madness descended. And after 12 minutes of chaos and violence, 80 people lay dead.

Would you try another book from J. D. Robb and/or Susan Ericksen?

    Yes!

What other book might you compare Delusion In Death to and why?

All of the In Death Series - the way the author has built the series around the characters makes you feel like they are in your life

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Susan Ericksen?

I wouldn't change her... In the past I have LOVED her (I have listened to the entire series 3 times)... this book, her voice is the same for each character, but there is something different with the flow or cadence - it sounds like she is emphasizing every word, and to be honest, it is REALLY annoying to me. I haven't listened to the whole book yet, but I have considered stopping with the audio and just reading it. I keep thinking it will either stop, or I will get used to it. I hope that something medical hasn't caused her change - if it is, then I am sorry... I am still having a hard time listening.

Do you think Delusion In Death needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    absolutely! keep them coming!!

    Any additional comments?

I have adored this series, J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) is spectacular in her character development!!

A lifetime of dedication to dance left Lindsay Dunne little time for romance. That is until she meets brooding architect Seth Bannion, the guardian of a talented young ballerina in Lindsay's class. As Lindsay and Seth clash over their hopes for the girl's future, passions flare...and Lindsay receives a crash course in the art of love.

Tracy says: "Not a bad novel, but not a good narrator"
"Good story destroyed by the narration"
    Overall

I am sure if I would have read this book that I would have enjoyed it... the narrator destroyed it... it made the charactors sound like complete nerds... her inflection was awful and her phrase stresses changed the intended meaning. It is sad.
