"My favorite contemporary series"
I absolutely love the story in this, the pacing. The second book, The Unincorporated War is a completely different style, but they all tie in so beautifully. I love this book and I have been suggesting it to family and friends big time ever since.
The performance is fantastic. Todd McLaren did Halo: Fall of Reach as well and is fantastic.
Whether you like philosophy, sci-fi, or just a damn good story, you should check out this entire series.
"Great listen, great story, great author!"
Great listen. I found Joseph Nassise for his book, EYES TO SEE, a few months ago and loved the storytelling, the pacing and the way the story unfolded. I immediately started looking for more of his work and found RIVERWATCH here on Audible. A really great listen, scary story, a lot of "how the hell are they going to get out of this." moments.
"Really good! Loved the story and the performance"
I had just tried listening to a zombie story that was nowhere near as good as it sounded. This one came along as a suggested book and the synopsis sounded great. AND IT WAS!! I can't wait for the next book in the series!
"I got this before there were reviews"
Agreed with several other folks, it was really tough to get through this, in fact I couldn't finish it. The writing was very metaphor-filled and the jumping around in time was really tough to manage. I listen to audio books while driving and this one took a LOT of effort to follow, and at about the 3/4 point, I gave up. I didn't care about any of the characters and I didn't understand why so little was happening.
It was written, well in the sense that it was beautiful how he painted pictures of things, but it was tough to care.
