New York Times best-selling author C. J. Box delivers a novel starring Joe Pickett’s sidekick: fan favorite Nate Romanowski.

In Force of Nature, trouble comes calling from Nate’s past in the Special Forces, and the colleague he once called a friend won’t stop until those who know a deadly secret are silenced. Everyone close to Nate is at risk, including Joe and his family. To save them, Nate will have to convince law-abiding Joe to finally break a few rules along the way.

    Story
Would you consider the audio edition of Force of Nature to be better than the print version?

If you have followed the Joe Picket series, you know that Nate Romanowski has always been a shadowy character. We really don't know much about his past or what made him into the recluse that he has become. Will Nate finally reveal the truth that has haunted him for so many years. I couldn't wait to find out.

What did you like best about this story?

The best part of the story is that you get to know Nate and what forces shaped him into the man he has become. You admire his skills and his moral sense but you always suspect that he may have had a darker past that may now come out. While Virgil Flowers is a secondary figure in this story, he is still pivital to it's outcome.

Which character – as performed by David Chandler – was your favorite?

    Nate of course.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me wanting to hear more and more as the story unfolded.

    Any additional comments?

This is a great twist to the Virgil Flowers series. You won't be disappointed with the story or the narration.

Where does The Drop rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've read all of the Harry Bosch series but this is the first one that I've listened to in the Audible format. I really enjoyed Len Cariou's mix of character voices and found that he added nuances to the story that you don't get by just reading a book. I enjoyed the Drop and it's two plot lines very much. Micheal Connelly continues to hold my interest in this series. I can't wait for the next one.

What other book might you compare The Drop to and why?

If you are a Bosch fan you will enjoy this book as well as any of the previous books.

Have you listened to any of Len Cariou’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Being new to Audible books, I haven't listened to any other Len Cariou books, but he would certainly be a plus if I find another book that interests me that he narrates.

    Any additional comments?

Thanks Micheal Connelly for another great Harry Bosch novel.
