I would recommend White Night as one of the funnest Dresden books so far. I loved all the humor...my favorite lines coming at his entrance to the White Court gathering. When you listen to that part you will totally know what I mean:) As usual Marsters voice makes Harry bigger than life. I have a friend who has just read the books and I turned my audio book on and she agreed that the Harry in her head sounds just like Marsters. These books keep getting better and better. As long as Marsters continues to narrate the books I will definately keep listening to what happens next in Harry's life.
Yes. While the sex scenes aren't necessary for me, the rest of the story was great. The characters were charming and endearing. There always has to be a bad guy and the bad guy is easy to hate. The island sounds like a place I would want to visit. Love that small town feel with a beach.
The characters on the island are so very likable.
Nell is just a fun character and you just feel like you want to protect her, help her, and enjoy her happiness.
There were a lot of funny parts between the 3 witches:)
The main character sucks and is so oblivious to everything. The ending was pointless and lame. I think the author would have been better off writing more about the supporting characters and what became of them instead of Katniss. I was more attached to them then her; which is the opposite of what an author is supposed to to with the protagonist. I own the audiobook, but plan to delete it.
I will wait and see.
I was very disappointed in the series. I liked the updated idea of a futuristic Roman gladiator games and what happens when people are completely disarmed, no free speech, and a dictatorship.
Parent please understand this book series has adult content. This is something that should not ready if the child is under 13. With younger teens 13-16 (as a teacher) I would highly suggest you read it with them and then discussion the points and themes of the book makes. I hope this review helps.
This book was great! From the narration to the story line. More pieces of the puzzle that is Dresden fall into place. I love how Butcher makes each story its own, but brings in multiple things from previous books and sets new pieces for the next adventure. It is a sublime addiction...so I am off to listen to Turn Coat. Enjoy Small Favor it was quite a fun ride.
